beachcomber 0
Hi. I am brand new to the site. We have a 42 foot RV. We just had our forst trip in the new RV to FW. When we checked in, the guy at the outpost had a loose leaf binder listing all the sites, their dimensions, and grading them on ease of backing in from 1-4. Backing in a 30 footer is obviously a lot easier than a 42 footer. Most of the back in rankings in the book seemed to be 4 (easiest). Is there any info anywhere with more detailed info for folks with bigger RVs? Listing such things as ease of access, lack of bushes and such to scratch your finish, etc. Thanks for your help. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
WELCOME!! The Fort Fiends mobile app includes photos and some info on how easy/hard particular sites are to back into. You can find links to it as well as more site info and videos of all camping loops here...http://www.fortfiends.net/_/accomodations/loop-information/site-classifications-r61

Grumpy and Grandma 740
Is it a MH or FW, makes a big difference?
jayco1 15
Something like this subject comes up almost everyday, and I would say just relax, you will get a good spot you can park in, and will have a really great time.
twiceblessed....nacole 433
We have a small hybrid, so I'm not a huge help here...but I'm sure other Fiends will come along to help. The link that Mo gave you is great. On my part, I wanted to jump in and say :welcome:

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I've got nothing to add, but WELCOME!
BuckeyeFortMama 43
Trust the Fiends. I check the app with every check in. We have a large FW and truck and the app is dead on especially when the Disney book is so misleading.
dblr....Rennie 224
We have a Kenworth tractor with a 40' 5th wheel and managed to back in ok in the 800 loop. It will also depend on where folks cars are parked as some are parked close to the road it might take away some needed room.

djsamuel 322
As stated above, stick with a premium site. We just got back today from a week in site 229, and that one, like many in the preferred loops, can be a bit tight due to the fact the road itself is narrow. In that loop, it is often more of an issue of not hitting something with the front of the vehicle than not having room backing into the site.
