rcarpe06 4
Hello all, We just booked our next trip to the Fort in May. Super excited!! Our last trip there was in May this year. We come from Michigan and take 75 all the way down. By the time we hit the Florida turnpike, the front windshield is extremely covered with bugs. Does anyone know of an RV wash near the Fort that is easy to get to in a Class A 35 feet long? Or other possible options to clean it while at the Fort on the camp site? Thanks. PrincessNana 15
We saw a truck wash at one of the big truck stops right before you get on the turnpike. I can't remember exactly which exit though, and my notes are in the rv. The cost was either $29.99 or $39.99. Since we have the same problem, I started looking for truck washes and noticed that Petro stations usually had them.Karen
PGHFiend 140
These guys are a national mobile outfit. I've seen them wash rigs before, but the website says call for a quote. I know they bring their own water and everything. If you get a hold if them , let us know APFleetwash IncTruck Wash1807 Premier Row, Orlando, FL 32809(407) 251-1090
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
There used to be washing services that wandered inside the Fort, but not allowed anymore, but you can arrange for a mobile service to meet you in the overflow lot.
twiceblessed....nacole 433
:welcome: I've seen other owners wash their rigs at the Fort so... I guess if you bring a hose that is long enough, you could always wash it yourself :)
Daverene 14
I wash the front when I go
WannaBeImagineer 98
I also noticed the truck wash at the exit right before the Turnpike on I-75. We were stuck in traffic for about 45 minutes through there and I still can't remember the name. Anyway that was the only one I saw within an hour of the Fort. Duane 152
Over the years traveling to the Fort, once I get parked, and usually before I put out all of the slides I have washed my entire rig right there at my site... Bugs can be an issue, so I have always supplemented my truck brush with a hand full of dryer sheets... the bugs just melt right off...

keith_h 420
Every time I see this thread in the list it reminds me that our TT is due for a wash.
