Andreag 0
Hi all, we now have a day in Orlando where we don't have anything scheduled. We thought we were adding a day to our tickets but turns out that you can't do that and visit parks prior to check in if tickets are part of a package. We were told we would have to buy a separate one day ticket instead... Which isn't happening. That leaves us with an open day. Friday, October 24. Here's the thing... What should we do? What would you do if you had a day in Orlando with no plans (one week prior to visiting)? We consider visiting the Fort to do some of the activities but we will not be checked in. Will this be a problem? Will we be asked to leave if we are not yet "on property"?
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Not an issue! Just go to the gate and tell them you are eating at Trails End, park in the parking lot, and wander the Fort. Use the buses to get around and enjoy. You could enjoy Trails End, go to the campfire movie, wander the beach, or any of the other activities. Just don't drive your vehicle through the loops. You can't use the pool if you are not a resort guest.
5kidsmommy 18
You can also hop to some of the other resorts, use Disney transportation, ride the monorail around. Take a bus down to Downtown Disney. There is so much to do without heading into the parks.
Travisma 1,317
Orlando has a good science museum, lots to do for kids and adults. You could take a side trip to Daytona and visit the beach or if you're into NASCAR take a tour of the track.Hotel hop, visit Animal Kingdom Lodge, hop on the monorail and visit the 3 hotels it passes by. Take a monorail ride over to Epcot and back.
Cyclonic 55
Try Fun Spot America, right near Universal. It is free admission, pay as you ride or get a wrist band, and everyone is raving about their little wooden coaster, White Lightening.
Lou... 3,118
They'll be a ton of Fiends at the Fort. Look for the FF signs, harass them, annoy them, and mooch off them. It works for me. 5kidsmommy
