Momof6....aka Marty 769
Having done most of what we hoped to do in Future World, we headed for the World Showcase. Another Magic Shot: Then we met Duffy. I didn’t want to miss our Maelstrom FastPass+ time, so we went there next. Except the ride was down, so they said we could come back anytime that day. We went back to Mexico and did a Meet and Greet with Mexican Donald. Then we rode the Gran Fiesta Ride, which was cute. We looked around in Mexico for a few minutes. After the younger ones got their passports signed in Mexico, we went back to Norway, but the ride was still closed. They did get their passports signed then and we spent some time looking around the Norway area. I should mention that we decided that each of us had $15 to spend on food for the day. So at this point, my 19yo decided she wanted garlic shrimp from the Austrailia booth – which was on the other side of Mexico. I could not believe how much time we spent in that area. At some point in there, I saw another Photopass Photographer. And another: Next was China. We enjoyed the shops and the movie, though we did wish the theater had seats. I am near the picture limit, so I will continue with more China pictures tomorrow.
CitaPita...Carmen 59
Those character pictures are wonderful! What a happy crew. :) Also, is it just me, or does the guy in the blue shirt in your second Test Track picture look like he was about to toss his cookies?
DaveInTN 3,247
It's too bad your youngest decided against so many rides and you had to stay back with her......the sacrifices we make as parents! We've been in the same situation.
lklasing 16
Oh my gosh - so many updates, so many great pictures! I love the magic shots but they're all great. All your kids are so cute, but I have to say that your oldest daughter is so striking! So tall, so pretty, and talented too! (Love the flower ears!) Y'all look like you're having such a wonderful time. Can't wait for more!

Z has ridden everything at Disney but Space, EE, Dinosaur (every time we try it's broken), RnR, and ToT... Maybe he could handle EE. He loves BTMRR. That shrimp looks good! Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Man, this TR is going fast! Looks like you did great at Epcot so far. That stinks that the Maelstrom was down for your FP+ return time, but it's nice to know you could go back at any time. Is your oldest daughter Disney-bounding in those overalls? Wreck-it-Ralph? Song of the South? Or, is she just wearing overalls? TCD
Seals 111
Enjoying this trip along with your family. Those huge smiles say it all. How fantastic that you were able to get so many great photos. It looks like you were able to accomplish a lot (score one for spreadsheet planning!). I think getting to a park at rope drop with 6 children/kids/offspring/younguns is an accomplishment in itself.I'm curious what the red t-shirt with the two faces that one of your sons is wearing says -- 10 reasons something is better? My family agreed that she probably would have done fine on that if she hadn't ridden EE first. Awesome Marty!!For those of you who don't know Marty she is tall.Sorry babe but those young'uns are making you look shorter and shorter. My goodness the boys have grown!Love love love the pictures and the updates!I always feel tall until I see pictures of me with my offspring. The funny thing is, I usually don't feel short when standing and talking with them. Just in the pictures. Unfortunately, I also think I am skinny until I see pictures. Great updates, Marty! Is your oldest daughter Disney-bounding in those overalls? Wreck-it-Ralph? Song of the South? Or, is she just wearing overalls? TCD The trouble with Maelstrom being down is I was trying to minimize my walking. I didn't want to stress my knee and now I had blisters to deal with. (Put the moleskin on at the FIRST sign of irritation!! Doh!) So I was worried about having to make our way back to it from the otherside of WS. Good question about the overalls. She was Disneybounding as Ellie from Up. Enjoying this trip along with your family. Those huge smiles say it all. How fantastic that you were able to get so many great photos. Momof6....aka Marty 769
Okay, so we left off in China. Most of these photos were taken by my daughter and i am posting most of them. Hope y'all don't mind. :) I believe this was a mango iced green tea. After she started drinking it, my youngest remembered that she is allergic to mango. By the grace of God, she did not react. From there we went to Germany. Of course, we went to Karamell-Kuche. Some of the offspring got caramel-filled cookies you see them making here. One got the salted caramel fudge, but thought it was too salty. Bob says he got a stuffed donut thing. (That may have been a beignet from France.) I was saving my money for a drink at the end of the day. I should have had the caramel. Disneybounding photos: More fun in Germany: At this point, I sent a boy back to Norway to check on Maelstrom and he came back telling us it was open, so we went back to ride it. It was raining on and off throughout the day and this extra walking was the death of my feet. Major blisters. But we loved the ride and are sad that this was our one and only time to ride it. Then we made our way to Italy. There, 19yo got a chicken dish with mushrooms which she said was very good: 13yo got ravioli, but we have no pictures. Sorry, Dave! Random Italy (I think!) pictures: Next was the American Adventure. We stayed to hear Voices of Liberty but left before seeing the movie. It was really raining at this point, but we were on a mission. One of my main memories of that day is taking out ponchos and putting them back in my backpack. Due to the rain, we have no photos of the American Adventure. Some of my offspring are anime fans and one is a martial arts fan, so we spent a bit of time in Japan. 15yo bought socks and 19yo got an “Attack on Titan” wristband. 19yo also bought sushi: Next was Morocco and thanks to a break in the rain, we have pictures: Small rant: By the time we got to Morocco, it was really starting to bother me that the employees at the Kidcot station seemed to spend most of their time chatting to each other in their native language. It was just off-putting. It made me feel like I was a bother to them, which was very un-Disney-like, to me. Rant off. On to France! The French were actually very friendly. The Photopass Photographer pulled berets off the shelf of a store and put them on my kids and took their pictures. The black berets did not really show up in the pictures, but the pink one looks adorable. We saw the movie and it made me want to go to France. That’s pretty amazing since I went in 1981 and swore I would never go back. While there, the girls and my 12yo got their picture taken with Aurora. Next up, the United Kingdom! Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Good question about the overalls. She was Disneybounding as Ellie from Up. I am so bad at this Disney-bounding thing. Thanks for sharing that-I never would have guessed Ellie from Up! Now that I see the picture of Ellie, though, your daughter did a great job. TCD
Momof6....aka Marty 769
A quick update to finish up our day in Epcot. While exploring the United Kingdom, we found an almost empty Meet and Greet with Pooh and Tigger. Score! After that, we spent some time looking around the stores and who should show up but Alice of Wonderland fame! We were able to meet her as well. Alice liked 7yo's Alice in Wonderland T-shirt: While in the UK, Sarah got some Fish and Chips: Random UK pictures: We found a random stranger to take a picture of all the kids in the phone booth. I volunteered to hold the door open cause there was no way I was going to squeeze in there. O Canada! I was so glad to get to Canada. Best of all, then line for the movie was under cover. I was getting a little tired of rain. Next, we had to decide on a place to watch Illuminations. While trying to decide, Bob decided to buy a shirt in China. We agreed that he and Sarah would go buy that while we waited out of the rain in Disney Traders. She bought some sort of non-alcoholic beverage while they were out in the rain: Once they returned, we found a place outside along the rail and had only a short wait before Illuminations started. It was really good. Random pictures on the way out of Epcot: From there, we slowly made our way back to the bus stop and home to the Fort. Next up: Magic Kingdom
