Quickest way- take cart to Outpost. Take bus marked Epcot. It will take you straight there. TCD 5kidsmommy
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
What TCD said. :) Going to Epcot from the Fort via monorail can be a fun way to go, but it's not direct and is a super slow way to go.
Momof6....aka Marty 769
Riding the monorail is fun! What I suggest is definitely follow TCD's for how to get to Epcot for "rope drop". Then, plan a day or five to just relax and enjoy WDW without going to a park. After enjoying some of the many things Fort Wilderness has to offer, take the boat to MK and then the monorail to the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian, getting off at each stop to enjoy the ambiance of each resort. After the Grand Floridian, take the monorail to the TTC and ride the loop that goes through Epcot. Then, go back to MK and enjoy the boat ride home. Pick up a Giddy-up and Go from the Trail's End take-out menu on your way back to your campsite. I hear it is delicious!
.....Gary 85
Mo, just in case Lou isn't on here in the next couple of days, do you think I should call his rotary cell phone. I'm positive he will want to know. :beathorse: BradyBzLyn...Mo

Lou... 3,118
Mo, just in case Lou isn't on here in the next couple of days, do you think I should call his rotary cell phone. I'm positive he will want to know. Because I will never again get a radio message telling me to head over to the Poly and GF and pick up guests and bring them to the MK because the monorail is down again, I don't care. Well considering it'll take a few days before he gets the message you'll have to leave... Few days, isn't that being overly optimistic?
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Few days, isn't that being overly optimistic? I was feeling optimistic today.
PrincessCooper's Mom 0
Thanks! If we take cart to Outpost and catch the bus and we ride monorail back, what will be best route back to Outpost to get cart?
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Hop on a Yellow Outpost bus from the Settlement Bus Stop
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
What Carol said. Just keep in mind it's going to take you 2 monorails and a boat to get back to the Fort, so plan your time accordingly. Or just don't worry about it, sit back, and enjoy the ride(s). :)
PrincessCooper's Mom 0
ThanksTo ride monorail from or to Epcot has been on Hubby's list for awhile now. Trying to slow down this trip and do things we haven't. We are starting off by driving motor home down and staying in the campground.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
We usually take "the long way" to Epcot at least once a trip. :)
5kidsmommy 18
When we want to go to rope drop we take the bus and then take the monorail back. But yeah it's fun to take the monorail into Epcot at least one. I actually like setting aside at least a day for riding the various forms of transportation around. It's fun to just ride the monorail and various boats around.
DinDavie 37
I never saw any evidence of a schedule. You just stand there until one arrives.
Lou... 3,118
I never saw any evidence of a schedule. For good reason, they're aren't any.
