Attendees may check in and enjoy shopping at Mickey’s of Glendale on Friday, November 21 (exact time to be announced, with early access for Top of the World ticketholders), or check in on Saturday, November 22 prior to the beginning of presentations. • Just announced! Rediscovering Discovery Bay: Disney Legend Tony Baxter will take guests on an in-depth tour of the never-built themed expansion for Disneyland, through rarely seen concept artwork and models that he worked on during his time at Walt Disney Imagineering.
• Widen Your World: Imagineer Jason Grandt, Disney Legend Charlie Ridgway, and Tony Baxter will discuss beloved Walt Disney World attractions of the past, including If You Had Wings, Horizons, and Mickey Mouse Revue
• Appearances by Disney Legends Charlie Ridgway, Ron Logan, Bill Sullivan, Marty Sklar, Bob Gurr, and Alice Davis; Walt Disney Imagineers Gary Landrum, Jason Grandt, Dave Minichiello, Wyatt Winter and Pam Rawlins; Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline; and Disney and World’s Fair historians Bill Cotter, Stacia Martin, and Michael Kelley.

Tony Baxter, “Tomorrowland” presentations added to Destination D: Attraction Rewind schedule for D23 event at Walt Disney World

D23′s upcoming Destination D: Attraction Rewind event at Walt Disney World just became even more enticing, bringing big names to host big presentations for Disney fans.

 

Announced today, Brad Bird’s secretive “Tomorrowland” film will be included in the lineup of panels at the event. Slash Film exclusively reports that supervising art director Ramsey Avery will discuss the making of the film as it relates to the 1964 World’s Fair and “it’s a small world.”

 

Huffington Post reveals Legendary Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter will also be presenting never used concepts for Discovery Bay, an area of Disneyland that would have been inspired by Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.

 

 

In addition to these presentations, Destination D: Attraction Rewind will dive deep into rides of the past, including Adventure Thru Inner Space, If You Had Wings, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. And to cap the weekend off, Pleasure Island favorites will be resurrected, including the beloved Adventurers Club.
