BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
According to Inside the Magic, the Under the Sea ride at Disneyland has been updated with black lights in the big "Under the Sea" scene. Take a peek at the video and see what you think... http://youtu.be/lqG8xO8fe4A
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
It doesn't look that much different to me. I thought the Disneyland version of this ride was different from the WDW version- if there are differences, they aren't big ones. TCD

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
The big room in the middle has always seemed to bright to me. As in, I can look up and see the ceiling and systems-type stuff, even though it's painted black. I would think this version would be more appealing and with black lights would really make the paint pop a lot more.
DaveInTN 3,247
When I read the title of this thread, I expected I'd click on it and see a picture of a cinnamon roll with me laughing. But I surprised myself. It wasn't me. BradyBzLyn...Mo
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
They are carbon copies TCD. Well till the black lights. According to something I heard from one of my daughters, there was some kind of controversy related to Ariel's hair looking too fake or something in the DL version. They must have changed it. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
Originally it was twisted in a spiral on top of her head to look like the scene where she spins around. People said it looked like something else so they changed it to what we have in WDW. That was before ours was built so they just duplicated that here.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
The only big difference is the outside theming and line queue

You could see that on the model they had on display in One Man's Dream at DHS. I thought there were other differences as well (the final scene maybe?). But, if Mo hadn't said this was DL, I would've thought it was WDW. Except for the CM costumes and queue. The only big difference is the outside theming and line queue Yay us. We got a gigantic queue. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
The DL has almost no shade. In the FL summer sun it woild be brutal.
