And here is some info on a new "Club Villain" Dance Party from Doctor Disney...

‘Club Villain’ Dance Party Coming To Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
August 4, 2014 by Doctor Disney

The very first night of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom is less than a month away, and there’s going to be even more fun this year than usual. This year, Disney will introduce “Club Villain” for all of your evil dancing needs.

It will be located in The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon between Frontierland and Liberty Square, and “Club Villain” is going to take it over in the party evenings.

“Club Villain” will bring forth some of your favorite Disney Villains to dance the night away with guests attending the party.

Enjoy trick-or-treating and costumes on your favorite characters along with the Magic Kingdom decorated to the fullest extent with pumpkins and other Halloween related goodies. Let’s not forget about the “Boo To You” Halloween parade and Happy HalloWishes fireworks display.

Word on the street is that the September parties are less crowded (which is why there are discounted tickets available)  and the closer you get to Halloween in October, the more crowded they get.  The Oct 31 party has sold out before.

I'm not sure how the day of the week effects crowds, but I'm betting some folks here will have some info to share on that.  :)

Wow, who's the dude with the embarrassingly short beard? Oh, sorry, that's obviously an Epcot host uniform. Nice selfie, Lou!

Ha ha, I don't have a smart phone and I can only wish that I had a beard that dark

Seriously though, I had a full beard for the longest time 30 years ago, pre Disney. I shaved it off because it made me look the age I am now.

Just an FYI, Halloween night is sold out.

Yes, even before the first party, Halloween is sold out.

All other days are still available.

Before Labor Day no less!  I'm guessing that Halloween being a weekend this year may have something to do with it selling out so quickly.

Those of you at the Fort this Halloween better start stocking up on candy now!  8)

I wish!! Unfortunately, since we have NO airconditioned storage space for all the candy, we have to go to Wal-Mart and purchase it Halloween morning.

The way things work these days, that could work to your advantage.  Around here CVS starts discounting the Halloween candy a few days before Halloween.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year at Walt Disney World Resort. The weather starts to change (at least a little bit), autumn décor makes Main Street, U.S.A. even more inviting, and it’s time once again to get dressed up for trick-or-treating during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park.

This year, the Disney villains are stepping out like never before during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, featuring new and enhanced experiences.

The popular “Villains Mix & Mingle – Live on Stage” returns to the Castle Forecourt Stage several times each night, with an unforgettable performance by beloved baddies from Disney films. Throughout the evening, guests interested in meeting their favorite Disney villains will now encounter them at locations around the park. Look for Jafar in Adventureland and the Queen of Hearts near Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland, while Lotso lurks near Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland.

At Princess Fairytale Hall, guests can choose between visiting Anna and Elsa or dropping in to see Snow White and Aurora, but be warned! The Queen and Maleficent are crashing this princess party, joining Snow White and Aurora for the night.

Another all-new feature of this year’s event, Club Villain, takes over The Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square with a wicked atmosphere, lively music, glowing décor, and appearances by Cruella De Vil, Dr. Facilier, Anastasia, Drizella, Lady Tremaine, and more!

We’re also introducing enhancements to Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade, including the expansion of the Phineas and Ferb Creepa Crew pre-parade interactive experience to more of the parade route and the first-ever appearance of Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope in the parade.

Of course, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party also features treat trails with candy galore, the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball in Tomorrowland, appearances by Jack and Sally from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” the ride of the Headless Horseman, and “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks.

My family looks forward to dressing up and attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party every year. For 2014, this separately ticketed event has expanded to 26 nights, from opening day September 1 through Halloween night, October 31. When will you be going?

Excerpted info from Chip & Co...

Halloween season is here – already! Yes, September has only begun but last night Walt Disney World officially welcomed the season with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of 2014.

This year’s event features many of the same fan favorite elements from years past, including an excellent parade and fireworks show along with plenty of characters to meet and lots of candy to take home. But as with every year, a few changes, tweaks, and additions add to the night’s highlights.

This year’s trick-or-treat bags handed out at the front of the park feature “Big Hero 6″ on one side and “Sleeping Beauty” on the other.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, especially with all the festivities at Walt Disney World Resort. I recently had the chance to check out some of the spooky sweets that the team at Magic Kingdom Park have conjured up for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Don’t worry–there are no tricks, just plenty of delectable treats in store for our guests.

If you’re planning to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, be sure to check out the spook-tacular offerings specially created for the season. Stop by the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor for a creepy Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. Ghouls of all ages will love choosing their favorite flavor of ice cream and sandwiching it between two freshly baked sugar cookies. Next door at Main Street Bakery, you’ll find the simply yummy Mummy and Candy Corn Cupcakes. If you’re looking for a more ghoulish delight, stop by Gaston’s Tavern for a Ghost Cupcake.

For the serious sweet tooth, I suggest checking out the Candy Corn Cotton Candy found on carts throughout the park. In addition, Storybook Treats in Fantasyland will be serving up Candy Corn Soft Serve. Take one bite into the cone and you’ll know this isn’t a trick—the cone is filled with candy corn. Yum!

I’ve always believed that breakfast food is meant to be enjoyed at any time of day. The Spiced Pumpkin Waffle Sundae from Sleepy Hollow is a festive way to indulge during the party. The hot waffle is topped with soft serve, cinnamon sugar and spooky sprinkles. It tastes so wickedly wonderful, you might just lose your head over it.

Ghoulish gulps will also be materializing for the party. Kick back with some Pumpkin Spice Bubble Tea at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland or prepare to pucker with Buggy Brew from Friar’s Nook. My favorite? The Wormy Apple Slush from Gaston’s Tavern, complete with real (gummy) worms.

These treats are only available at Mickey’s Not-So Scary Halloween Party, taking place on select nights from September through October.
