A summer long TR...with a visit to Cinderella's real castle.

Hey, if you flew out of Okc then we must be practically neighbors. I live in Moore (thankfully the tornado missed us by a mile). Bonnet creek looks lovely. Looking forward to hearing about the Europe part of your summer. :)

I live just outside of Crescent, about 30 miles north of OKC and about 10 miles west of Guthrie.

I do go to or thru Moore all the time. I have the vending contract for all the Taco Mayos and the GM at the Moore store lost her house and so did a few friends of mine. I'm glad to hear y'all were spared.

Keep on reading I'm not going to post every day of our 14 day trip to Disney. Just some highlights and we will be in Europe in no time. Thanks for reading along.

Where were we? Oh we left DTD and headed back to Bonnet Creek.

We needed to rest for our big day at Epcot. My favorite park and the best meal at Disney world.

The next morning we jumped on the bus and before we knew it we were there.

Is it just us or do you have to take a picture in front of the golf ball every time you enter Epcot?

Had a FP+ for Soar-in so off we went. We all love the ride and so did our nephew. But he didn't want to ride it again. Lol!

While we were in the Land pavilion we decided to get a bite to eat at Sunshine Seasons. No pix but I love the ceiling. It reminds me of "Its a small world." Anybody else.

After our morning snack we headed over the Seas. Nemo was a walk on and so was Turtle Talk w/ crush. I've seen the show a thousand times but I still love how Crush interacts with the kids.

We walked around a bit and visited the manatees and dolphins and then headed over to Innoventions West because DD was bugging us to do one of her favorite things at Epcot...The Great Piggy Bank Race! I don't get it but she loves it.

We had to stop for free drinks. Free drinks Rock!

DD and I were the only ones that wanted to ride Mission Space.

DD, cousin Teel, and I jumped on to Test Track.

We left Future World and made our way to the World Showcase we had a 2:30 rezzie for a late lunch. But first we stop of to visit three old friends.

On our way around the world we ran into Dave's girlfriend. I feel sorry for her. She waits and waits everyday in the same spot for Dave to show up.

My first stop. I had one for my homies that couldn't be with me. Aaron and Dave. Grapefruit beer. It was ok but to fruity for my taste.

I ordered a pils next and it was very tasty. Here's whats available.

The also had some tasty looking snacks but I had to say no. We were going to the best restaurant at Disneyworld. And we only had a few minutes till our rezzie.

Thankfully it was a short walk to...

Now before we get to the pood forn here's a few pix of the inside of the Biergarten. Now don't ask me why but my camera did something to all my pictures I took inside with it. Luckily I used my iPhone to take pood forn pix. So you might notice some Christmas decorations. These pix were taken in December but I really wanted to show some pix of the inside for y'all that have never been

The stage and some really talented musicians.

This guy rocked the bells. They invited the kids down to dance and watch the show.

You really didn't think I was going to make you wait to post the pood forn. Did you?

They have a good selections of cold items, a green salad, sausage. (Kind of like an American bologna but with better flavor. Macaroni salad, beet salad, cucumber salad, bean salad, a sausage salad, a tomato salad and more. Your sure to find something to your liking.

There's a pretty good selection of hot entrees.

Roast chicken, brats, and different types of sausages. Try the Munich veal sausages. There the white ones. A carving station with roasted pork and meatloaf. Schnitzel, there's a fish dish I think it was cod but I think it does change. Mac n coz, warm german potato salad, vegetables, red cabbage, and spatzle and more.

Oh and don't forget to grab a pretzel roll or two or three or four..

I may have had a plate or two.

And let's not forget dessert. Black Forest cake, cheese cake, apple strudel with a really good vanilla sauce. A few other items.

I only had a few dessert items because I was going to get one of my favorite treats after we finished eating.

Lunch was awesome and I ate way to much. But I wasn't going to stop me from getting some of these treats.

DW always got the milk chocolate caramel w/sea salt, DD got the caramel apple, and for me it's got to be dark chocolate caramel with sea salt.

We walked around the world showcase for a few hours and made it back to Spaceship earth and then took a picture of nephew holding up the golf ball. He loved the picture of himself.

We headed out and went back to Bonnet Creek and probably went swimming.

Next update will be of DD's first rope drop at the MK.

Your DD made a good choice, a caramel apple is on my must have list! I've never had a salted caramel but I did just have Ben and Jerry's salted caramel core ice cream it was delish.

I don't remember there being a separate kids menu or even items. But there's plenty of choices kids would like. Mac n chz, spatzle w/ chz, chicken, meatballs.

You have a get a salted caramel. I prefer the dark chocolate. A trip thru German would not be complete without it.

Here's a hint. Buy two. Eat one now and save one for later. You'll thank me for this tip later.

Did dinner once and the only things I remember them having at dinner that's not on the lunch menu is sauerbraten (German pot roast) and roulades a rolled steak with onions, pickles, and bacon. Both are really good. I don't think its worth the extra money because the lunch selection is so big.

Here's another tip. Book your rezzie for 2:30-3:00. You'll pay lunch prices and you won't need to eat for the rest of the day. Lol

The next day DD and I woke up early to hit our first MK rope drop. The bus dropped us off at TTC and hopped on the monorails and made it to the MK only to find a few thousand of my friends already there. Walked up to the gate and as we scanned our Mbs the CM said sorry but we will have to wait outside. Needless to say we were both a little disappointed but we could still see most of the activities from outside. But then Disney Magic happened another CM saw what happened and must have seen the look on DD’s face because he had us scan our bands and escorted us in and found us a nice spot right in the middle. The Lou must have pulled some strings for us.

Heading into the Contemporary. I love riding the monorail.

This is were the Magical CM brought us.

They introduced the family of the day, the train pulled into the station and then some fireworks.

As we made our way thru the left tunnel these two rude ladies (mother and daughter) pushed their giant stroller between me and my DD. I turned and looked at her and she said, rudely, we have to catch up with our family, and I said that is my daughter you almost ran over. She looked at me with a look of shock. I guess no one has ever spoken to her the way she spoke to me. I told DD to stop as she was ahead of the rude ladies and was behind them. She stopped and the lady, I use that term loosely, yelled at her to move over. Well that did it. I pushed my way past her and stopped in front of her stroller, grabbed my DD hand and informed her that she better watch how she talks to other peoples kids. She just gave me that shocked look again and her mother asked her what I said and she said I said called her the “B” word. I told her mother I did not nor would I ever call a women a “B” but that her daughter needs to learn not to yell at little kids. And that we were all trying to get into the park and it would probably help if the two of them would walk in single file not side by side with their strollers. Of course its all about hem and they stayed side by side. Yes they insisted on walking thru the tunnel side by side. I wish I would have gotten a picture but there were way to many people and my priority was on my DD.

Drama over and we made it to Main Street.

　

I was wearing my vet hat is hopes of being picked for MK’s retreat but it didn’t happen. Maybe one day..

We made it back to the SDMT only to find a long line. This was at 8:50 am.

We walked to the entrance to get a return time, I’m a service connected disabled vet so I get a DAS card, but they had not opened the ride yet and the CM said they have to have a wait time before they can give a return time. As she was talking they opened the ride and DD looked up and saw that the wait time said 15 minutes. Yes only a 15 minute wait time for SDMT! She informed the CM of this and the CM smiled signed my card and said be back in five minutes. Score!!! Thanks to DD. I had to go to the little boys room and made it back in less than five minutes and this was the wait time at 9:05 am. The ride has only been open for 5 minutes.

We didn’t care we were on our way for our first ride one the SDMT.

DW wasn’t with us and it was getting hot so I let DD play for a minute.

Time for a little snack. DD and I love carrot stick for a snack but we couldn’t eat Olaf’s nose. Frozen snacks? What ever it takes to make a buck or 5.

DW, cousin Teel and nephew Cooper arrived at MK and we met them at the castle so cooper could ride…where in the world did we meet them? Here’s a hint.

I’ve got to get some work done today so Ill give you an update later. The Lou was stocking this day. Did he find us or were we able to allude him? Stay tuned to find out.

Have you ever met/seen those people that the world rocked around them and everyone else needs to cater to them? Well that was her and her mother. They were those people that always look miserable. I feel sorry for them.

What drives me nuts is that if she would have said excuse me I need to catch up to my family. I would have stepped aside and let her pass. But I think that was just an excuse. I saw them later and it was just her, her mother an the two strollers going side by side thru fantasyland.

As far as the SDMT. We liked it. Could it have been better? Sure. My complaint is that it was to short. We rode it 3 times that day. DW, Teel,and cooper also really liked it.
