devores 382
I haven't posted in a while but this is big info that needs passed on. Starting today BOG is testing a return card system similar to the one for Ana and Elsa and the frozen sing along. Today, all cards were given out early morning and there is no standby line for lunch. So if you plan to eat at BOG for lunch, get here early and get a card. They will turn you away. No idea how long the test is or if/when it will be implemented for good. Momof6....aka Marty 769
Do you know what time they are starting to give the cards out?

Momof6....aka Marty 769
Cause rope drop needed another thing for people to rush to. Ah well.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Thanks for the info Dave! It'll be interesting to see how it works out and if it sticks.

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Thanks for the info Dave! Do you know if the whole party has to be present to get a card, or can 1 person get them for the group?

Judy in Texas 150
Thanks Dave. I heard that there is a similar test going on for Soarin'.http://www.doctordisney.com/2014/07/30/new-standby-queue-test-soarin-doesnt-go-well/
Momof6....aka Marty 769
Thanks Dave. I heard that there is a similar test going on for Soarin'.http://www.doctordisney.com/2014/07/30/new-standby-queue-test-soarin-doesnt-go-well/I read that once they re-opened the stand-by line, the wait quickly shot up to three hours. I don't know if that is from a reliable source. I wonder if this is all an attempt to fix what FP+ broke? Anyone remember if there was this much trouble when they started the old FP system? LONE-STAR 370
Don't like this idea. If you could walk up at 10:30 and get a 11:30 return time that would be ok. But I am not doing rope drop for lunch that's crazy.
AuburnJen 777
I was at soarin yesterday and it was around 6pm and the stand by was closed down for the evening. We had our green pass so we were fine to go in the fast pass lane. My question is and I never thought of ask while I was there is that once they close down the standby can the green passes no longer be used because there technically is no stand by wait time any more? AuburnJen 777
See that link Judy posted above? Yeah, they were doing that again. I didn't stay to figure out the details of the tickets they were handing out.
LONE-STAR 370
Well that sounds like a dumb idea.
Momof6....aka Marty 769
I am hearing this called Stand-by Plus. It is what they have been testing with A&E, BOG, and Soarin'. It sounds to me like they are trying to fix what FP+ broke.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great to see a post from you, Devores! I'm not sure that I like this, but I'm glad to know about it. I wonder how much paper and resources they are wasting now to replicate what the old FP machines that they've already ripped out could have done? What an unbelievable mess they've created. DaveInTN 3,247
I predict they roll some of the old FP machines back out and install them for situations like this, under the name "Fastpass Classic!". BradyBzLyn...Mo

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
I thought I read somewhere that you could now get FP+ for BOG at lunch. Am I wrong? Or is this an addition?

As far as I now, those FP+'s for lunch are for resort guests only, and are very limited in availability. To this point, they haven't advertised it, and only certain resort guests got email invitations to make the invitations. But, even without the email invite, there is a site you can go to and plug in your resort reservation number and try to make a FP+ reservation. It doesn't always work, though. Momof6....aka Marty 769
I am reading that the FP+ window for BOG tends to open about 28 days before your arrival date. YMMV, after all, this is Disney.
