BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
From the Disney Food Blog, and article on some new offerings and old favorites at the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase...http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2014/07/21/new-items-at-kringla-bakeri-og-kafe-in-epcots-norway-pavilion/ Some excerpts... Dark Chocolate Cake, Blue Icing, Coarse Sugar for a little crunch, and a Frozen Souvenir Ring in the shape of a snowflake. Frozen Bundt Cake Here’s my Brown Goat Cheese Waffle, freshly made. You can see the Goat Cheese on top and between the layers of warm, just-from-the-iron Waffle. Next up was a dessert simply called S’more. It was sort of like a Parfait made with Mousse. It looked pretty good, and all the flavors of Milk Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Graham Crackers were there… The slightly sweet Yeast Bun, flavored with Cardamom, is filled and topped with a simple Vanilla Custard. Toasted Coconut sprinkled on top of the Icing Garnish completes the picture. School Bread
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Quote REVIEW: Norway Bakery at Epcot Begins Breakfast Service, Introduces FROZEN Desserts With the opening of the Royal Sommerhus and Frozen Ever After at 9am, guests will now find the nearby Kringla Bakery og Cafe in the Norway pavilion open early in the morning as well. With the new extended hours and the extra attention, the classic Epcot bakery has received a number of new menu items, so we decided to try a few over the last few days: The chefs even made a small version of the Royal Sommerhus to put in the display case. A look at the options. We decided to try the egg and leek pastry. It was very light and had a good flavor to it. The leek flavor is a bit strong and it would probably be fine with just the egg, but overall not a bad option. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
The egg and leek pastry and "fisherman's tasting box" both sound interesting. Although it's hard to pass up the sweet pretzel or school bread.
