There's a place to fill your water tanks and a dump station, but that's it. There are a couple in central MA that we've camped at that are really nice - shady, private sites, nice beach on a lake, and super cheap. We've seen some pretty big MH in them. Really enjoyed Normandy Farms campground if you haven't decided on a Boston place yet. We haven't decided on where to stay and appreciate any recommendations. I lived on Hanscom Field as a kid. Rene and I went back for a visit about six years ago but stayed at a hotel. Most of the woods I used to play in are now within the Minuteman National Historic Park. While there were some changes I was really surprised how much hadn't changed from when I lived there in the 60's. One of the reasons we are looking to go back is to retake pictures. We lost all of ours from the last trip due to a computer problem. The last time we went it was summer and abnormally warm. This next trip we are planning for late spring or fall to get the cooler temperatures and hopefully avoid some of the crowds. As an aside I remember teasing my father and he getting a little upset every time we went to Boston. Inevitably we ended up on a one way street go the wrong way. I was thinking this place would be great until I saw $10 per shower per person, no way in freakin' heck would I pay $10 for a shower, that would cost me $70 for my family. Showers: At present, Aviator Sports Center has a shower facility open to campers from 8 AM - 10 AM. Cost is $10 per person, paid at the front desk. From there campers will be escorted to the shower facility. Campers must show their camping reservation confirmation and must provide their own soap and towels. There is no dump station.I could handle free showers, heck we pay $1-$2 a lot of the places we go but the $10 quoted on the website just took me by surprise.
