lklasing 16
Kouzzina is my guess. We love breakfast there. I'm so sad that they are closing soon. Love your pics of the S/D and Boardwalk areas at night! I just love that area and it's particularly fun at night. And this picture: is so good that to me it looks like one of those "artist's renderings" that they put out before building something new, where things never look as good as they do in the rendering. So, good job on your pics!

Funny thing is....I didn't carry my camera with me on the walk, so I took those with my phone. My Galaxy S4 is probably the best camera I own. LOL.
Momof6....aka Marty 769
Seriously, that picture looks like a postcard. 'Ohana for breakfast and that was the big mistake because the construction made the experience miserable.

DaveInTN 3,247
Cafe at the grand FloridianKona cafeBoma No.No.No. My guess for breakfast is Trails End. No. But that would have been AWESOME! My guess is you went to the four seasons and begged for scraps? That, too, would have been awesome. But no. Love the pictures and that you got a date night stroll. I really need to visit the Boardwalk area. Hmmm.... not sure about breakfast... something in the Epcot resort area? Yes, you do need to get to the Boardwalk. When you are at Epcot for Food and Wine, walk out the exit by France and check it out. It only takes a little bit to see it, but you might see something interesting enough to you that you'll want to plan a return. You might be on the right track for breakfast.....but there are LOTS of resorts and places to eat in that area.
DaveInTN 3,247
Let's move on to breakfast!! Ok, all of you that guessed we stayed in the Epcot resort area were right. We were here to enjoy Stormalong Bay, and I didn't want to lose much time leaving the area for breakfast. But no one (that I recall) correctly guessed exactly what restaurant we dined at. I'm not too surprised, because this place doesn't get much attention. We ate at..... Yes....the Yacht Club's very own sit down restaurant, Captain's Grille. CG features both a breakfast buffet, as well as an ala carte menu. While the buffet looked quite nice, no one was all that hungry to justify the cost, so we all opted to order off the menu. In case you are interested, here is the buffet area and a few of the selections. And here are some of our menu choices. Can you honestly go wrong with these?? Or chocolate chip pancakes? One of the girls opted for some bacon. Another for a different form of pig. I bet you can guess what INC and I both ordered. These were pretty decent steel cut oats. Anna loves her some eggs. All in all we enjoyed our breakfast at Captain's Grille. If you are looking for a good meal in a relatively quiet place, this might fit the bill. Nothing too exciting about it, and I wouldn't take the time to ride a bus from someone to get here, but if you are staying in the Epcot resorts area it might be worth a try. Ok, let's head back to the pools!! I LOVE this next picture. These first handful of pictures I took at the pool are bluish....I forgot to take the camera off the food setting. I decided this would be a good time for me to ride the slide....the Flying Jib. Here's the view from up there. I think at this point I realized the camera settings were off. This looks better. Ok, that's enough pictures from the top of the Flying Jib. I was getting to the front of the line, and it was my turn to actually RIDE the Flying Jib. Anyone want to ride with me?? Alright, lay on your back and cross your arms on your chest. If you can lift yourself so your weight is supported on just your heels and your shoulder blades, you will pick up more speed. Got it? Ok....ready?? Let's go. http://youtu.be/_-2MYyGdApg If you watched with your volume up, you may have noticed something. On any ride or water slide, I always do a Daffy Duck laugh for my kids' benefit. They expect it and I can't let them down. Hey, at least it's not a granny wig. So there you go, you've ridden the Flying Jib. Let's take a break here before lunch. When we come back, we'll grab a bite from the Stormalong Bay counter service bar, hit the lazy river, and then have some drinks.

It's certainly not one of the most high-profile restaurants on property. BTW, I don't accept the Donald Duck laugh explanation. h2odivers...Ray 952
Captains grille. I never would have guessed it. We stayed at the Yacht Club last year and I didn't remember that told had served breakfast. I'm not buying the laughing like a duck on purpose. You shouldn't be ashamed that you laugh like a little girl. LolWe love Yacht/Beach Club. I could spend a week out by the pool. I love the fact that they have CMs at the gets so none of those freeloaders that use the Fort pool can get in.
