DaveInTN 3,247
2 cent slots? I've only played nickel slots. 2 cents is more appealing. Congrats on your win! I love midnight buffets. Atrium -- you still can't call it the Centrum? The Marriage Game is hilarious. Sorry you didn't make it onto the stage. Did you attend Quest? It's even funnier, and it's so much better on a smaller ship. Yep, 2 cents. Kinda funny but I liked it. No, I can't call it a Centrum. It reminds me of a vitamin. We never made it to Quest. Can't remember why. I vaguely remember trying to stay awake for the midnight buffet on our honeymoon. I'm more of a morning person and like my sleep! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I know, same here. Besides being full, the other reason I didn't eat at the midnight buffet is that I wouldn't be able to sleep after. Couple of things.I'm glad there are no pics of you and a bunch of other middle age people making out with their spouses...The old couples are always the best. Brian and I still talk about the couple we saw on our honeymoon. Their stories were funny. The young couples usually just make me never want to take the elevator again...When we went on a cruise when I was like 15 we were going up to the pool side midnight buffet, we were smushed in the elevator and people would just keep squeezing in and wouldn't wait for the next one. Well the doors wouldn't shut and it was beeping because it was overweight! And people were refusing to get off! I would have love to gotten off but at that point we were trapped in the back. Fun times. Wait a minute.....middle aged?? I thought I was still young. What the heck are you talking about?? Good thing you got this going again. I was starting to think a thread hijack was in order but I guess we can call it off. So nobody hijack this thread. Cinnamon Rolls Oh that sounds good. Do they sell them on Main Street? That is the only place to get a real authentic, melt in your mouth Cinnamon Roll. Who sells them? My friend told me that her mother read on-line that Oprah's hairdresser said that her niece said the best place to get cinnamon rolls is the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom. alexwyattmommy 181
Who sells them?Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a little shop on Main Street you could smell the Cinnamon Rolls baking. Back in those yonder days it was said you see them come out of the oven and watch the icing of the Cinnamon Rolls take place.Today, in this new fangeled era, you must leave the quaint street of Main Street and hike many more yards to a place hidden in the back of New FantasyLand. This new cinnamon roll [notice the lack of capitalization] is now dry, old and has the off taste of pork. Please proceed with caution. DaveInTN

Good work on the slots! Not sure about midnight buffet......unless there was heavy drinking all night....then i would be totally ready for a buffet......or Denny's. Heavy drinking changes the equation. But I was sober, so I skipped it. On our Disney cruise, I hit the late night buffet and stuffed myself with crepes. Did not get a good nights sleep that night. Lesson learned. Too bad you didn't make it on stage. That would have been entertaining. Their loss. I know, right? We really hammed it up with our passionate kiss too. Grossed the girls out, which was really our motivation for doing it anyways. But that annoying couple (who happened to be from the ATL area) had their whole dance posse so they were a shoe in. At least they were ridiculed by the host for their stupid answers and they lost. Thanks for slowing down the updates while I was at the Fort looking across the fence at your private party. DaveInTN 3,247
Ok, I need to keep moving here as I looked through my pictures and still have 3 or 4 updates on the cruise....and that isn't even the end of this little journey. So here we go onto Day 4....our day at sea. As is customary, I was awake early and wanting two things. 1. a cup of coffee. and 2. to enjoy some early morning peace on the top decks. So I quickly threw on some clothes in our dark room with waking any of the ladies up, and off I went to Deck 9. I grabbed a cup and headed outside to enjoy another beautiful morning on the Enhancement of the Seas. I have slept a bit too long this day to see the sun rise, but it was still early enough that not many people were out and about yet. That would change soon though. The seas were still very calm. And we were not alone on the seas. The water is a beautiful color. There were a handful of people up on Deck 10 using the track. This is my artistic shot. I call it "Two Balls". Hey look! It's iPad Idiot! These clouds were partially blocking the sun. That could help keep temps down on the pool deck today....or bring unwanted rain. Time will tell. Pretty soon, I began to see what I was expecting. It starts small, but over the next couple hours builds into a frenzy. It's a phenomenon that you see at Disney resorts on busy weekends, and you see on cruise ships early on an At Sea day. Yes, I'm referring to the Towel Moms. These are the Moms who set their alarms to get up on deck bright and early and reserve chairs for their families. They get towels and drape them over the chairs they want to save, but since the cruise line will sometimes pick up towels off the chairs that look like they are abandoned, these Moms also bring personal belongings to help secure their chairs for the day. Sometimes it's a beach bag, or some sunscreen, or maybe a tank top or coverup. Nothing of any value obviously....they seem to have a well thought out plan balancing their desire to save chairs against the risk of losing their items, so they select items that are clearly personally identifiable but not of any real or sentimental value. Here's one now! I think she was the first of the day, and scored some great front row seats near one of the pools. Looks like she scored 6 chairs. Well done Lady in Pink! But wait, she has company. Immediately across the pool another Towel Mom and her doting husband are securing their chairs, and they have a really cool "giant clothes pin" method of holding the towels down. These are clearly not amateurs. As fun as it was watching the Towel Moms ply their trade, I had other business to attend to. Breakfast! I headed back to the room and got everyone up and moving. We had planned on meeting up with INC's family again for breakfast at My Fair Lady. Here's some of the fam....two of my girls, our niece, and INC's Dad. Coming up....the scene on the Pool Deck changes dramatically. And the best Anna pic ever!

Momof6....aka Marty 769
I am caffeinated and ready for the best Anna pic ever. Okay, wait. I may need tissues. I resisted watching Aaron's video because tissues are across the room. I will remedy that before i read the next update. Some may wonder why I need tissues to see the best Anna picture ever. It is probably just cuteness galore. No tears with that right? Wrong. When I think of what that little girl's life would have been without Dave and INC and their girls, it makes me cry every time. Oh great, now I am crying and the tissues are still across the room.

I don't think you'll need tissues. And I shouldn't get expectations up too high. But one thing you need to understand is....Anna is a horrible picture taker. She's not cooperative. She has a knack for looking away at the last second. And she makes goofy faces. We get awesome pictures that show her comical side....but not often do we get a truly beautiful picture. But we did on this trip.

DaveInTN 3,247
Let's move on. After breakfast, we changed into our suits to check out the pools. As I mentioned in our last update, the Towel Moms aka Chair Hogs had been out in force early this morning reserving chairs for their little Buffy and Jody's to have a place to sit when resting from their hard day swimming. Only Buffy and Jody never seem to rest, so the chairs sit there empty all day when someone else could be using them. When we got to the pool deck, we were able to get a table along outside of the deck, in the shade. Score! This is what the pool deck looks like on sea days. Anna was lounging in the shallow end. And Stella spent most of the day in the water. I may or may not have gotten another bucket of beer. Hey, for $20 what the heck. They had a belly flop contest at some point during the day. No, I did not join. Would you? Those things are painful. Even though the pool area was pretty full, we had a nice spot to sit and I had a bucket of beers, so all was well in DITdom. Anna went to play in the kids club again for a little bit in the afternoon, so INC and I could sit and relax. When she is around pools we do not relax. Even though she wears floaties, she dunks her head a lot and hasn't learned to keep her mouth shut, so we are on her like white on rice. It gets tiring, but she loves the water so much! By late afternoon, we had gotten Anna back from the club and went to get ready for dinner. We had a nice routine....we'd have a drink in the cabin while getting ready, and then go enjoy the music in the atrium. Today was no different. We brought our drinks up and found a comfy spot to sit near a window. Ahhhh.... Hey, there's a 3rd set of feet here! No worries....that's just Stella. We still had a little time to kill, so we decided to head back up to Deck 9 and see if INC's parents were on the smoking deck. Nearby was a ping pong table, so I gave Stella a lesson in handling defeat graciously. This sign was posted near the ping pong table. It cracked me up. Must have been the beer. POST BUCKET OF BEER SELFIE ALERT! INC was playing around with snapping some close ups. My freckled sweetie. She had the hardest time, as usual, getting Anna to look at the camera. She has a knack for looking, but by the time you push the button she darts her head sideways. But then, it happened. INC must have snapped the picture at just the right time. She got, for once, a beautiful picture of Anna. I think this is about the best picture ever of her. She is such an active, confident little girl, that it's hard sometimes to capture just how innocent and vulnerable she is. This picture speaks to me like that, and reminds me of the little girl that walked out of that orphanage 3 years ago. I promised her then I'd always take care of her. She makes it tough at times :rofl3: but this face reminds me of why we do it. I just love that kid. We went back down to Deck 5 to meet up with the rest of the family for dinner. Again, we sat and listened to some music. These elevator remind me of a 70's movie....Towering Inferno, or dare I say it...the Poseiden Adventure. There was a family there that evening all dressed in Blues Brothers garb. I have no idea why, but they were having fun. That's it before our final dinner....which will come in the next update. Then, I have some morning photos of our approach back into Port Canaveral, and then I'll wrap up this section of the report with a final debriefing of my thoughts on RCCL before we move to the next phase of this report. So don't go away....much more to come, including Fiend sightings!
