Grumpy and Grandma 740
If you read it closely it says, "GOLF CARTS ARE ALLOWED ON SIDEWALKS" Center column, Authorized Recreational Devices. I've "E" mailed Jeff Martin but have never gotten a response back?
rdancemom... Pam 113
I saw the sidewalk thing too. Thought it was odd but didn't take it as a bad thing. With DH's mobility issues increasing and him still being too stubborn to buy an ecv, our GC may become a true neccessity instead of an impulse buy/project. I'll be interested to hear an official response so I hope you get one. Thanks for sending the email...
stefa70 205
Holy Crap! Now I've got to dodge golf carts on the sidewalk? I'd better just go for full body armor instead of my previous bubble wrap strategy! :rofl2:
doodlebug....Cherie 461
Maybe we need to just take a gamble and walk in the road and drive on the sidewalks :rofl2:
BouncingTiggers 98
Oh great that is a wonderful idea. Now we will have the ones that can hardly drive on the road on the sidewalks. Then they will be telling their underage kids stay on the sidewalk because it's safer. Someone may have been having a brain fart when writing the new rules.
bigdisneydaddy 9
I think that the Fort needs an "HOV" type lane around the campground just for carts :D
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I'm pretty sure I've seen every single one of those rules broken.
Guest starbuc71
Hopefully they stated sidewalks for golf carts due to the sidewalk that leads to the marina from the main road. We will be there in a week and will be curious if they are enforcing the rules
TnBob 311
I am sooooo glad they revised the golf cart rules to keep a lid tightly on bad behavior. I am always so skerd of those fast carts with the big tires growling their one note song. Bout time!Speed limit should be about 8 miles an hour and regular golf cart tires and NO gas. There I said it lol. oh come on you know you were all thinking the same thing........wern't ya? Lou... 3,118
I'm pretty sure I've seen every single one of those rules broken. Of course you have and you'll continue to see it. As most of you know, Disney is not that serious on enforcing their rules. They're more like suggestions. They'll pick and choose what & when to enforce. In order to really enforce the rules, they would need a lot more staff and that's not going to happen. And if they did hire more staff, you'll be paying even more for the sites. ftwildernessrick 10
The rules seem fair enough, even though we are probably the only ones actually reading them. The cart on the sidewalk thing was probably a slip up; however, most of the sidewalks are already posted 'No Golf Carts'. caveat lector 181
The folks with a pretty good grasp of common sense aren't typically impacted by the defining of rules. Unfortunately, those destined to break the rules are probably the ones least likely to read them.
Lou... 3,118
That makes way to much sense. The folks with a pretty good grasp of common sense aren't typically impacted by the defining of rules. Unfortunately, those destined to break the rules are probably the ones least likely to read them.
