Travisma 1,317
I was just getting ready to fax my loop request for our 6/29-7/6 stay when I got an email from Disney Destinations. It had a countdown calendar, the checkin/out times, a map, etc. It also had a phone number listed. When I called it, it was answered as Fort Wilderness. So, should I fax in my request, or call the number back and ask them to note my preferences in my reservation since the number goes to the Fort and not central reservations? BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Ooh... this appears to be something new?! If it were me I'd do both just to cover my bases.
Grumpy and Grandma 740
They may have answered FORT WILDERNESS, but they could still be in a call center. I would still use the "tried and proven" fax request.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Ooh... here's an idea. Pick your 2 favorite loops or sites, request one by phone and the other by fax.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
If it is the call center they will make a note on your ressie which will get forwarded over to the Fort. Also online check in let's you put a loop request in. I would do both. That is what I am doing for my clients and myself. Fax and ressie note over the phone.
Lou... 3,118
I would still use the "tried and proven" fax request. But the most tried and proven method is when I stop by the Front Desk and watch a Front Desk Clerk actually add it to a reservation. And yes, I have done it a number of times for Fiends. AuburnJen 777
I think it is an excuse to go over there more for The Lou personally... but that is just my opinion...
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Faxing has worked for us (except when the loop we wanted was closed), so that's what we do. And Jason puts it on the reservation.

We faxed, put it on the reservation, and called and got our desired loop and spot. So something works....just don't know which one.

Millermouseketeers MaryAnn 150
We faxed & called & for the first time ever we were assigned a different loop. They easily changed it at check in.

Fingers crossed! Very interesting! We've seen our fax in the file when we checked in before (despite "experts" elsewhere insisting they went straight in the trash)... I wonder if they're changing request procedures?
Travisma 1,317
We did both and we got one of our 3 requested sites. In fact we got our first choice. Of course mentioning that we had such a miserable time in 2000 and we got a comp night because of it might very helped. :-)
