Momof6....aka Marty 769
Sorry folks, but since I got banned from "over there", you are going to need to put up with me picking your brains as I plan our trip for the fall. We will have Park Hoppers for 4 days. We need to save a half day for our class at Epcot. I think we will use the rest of that day at MK, as that is the park where we want to do the most things. So, if we do that, which 6 things would you try to get FP+ for? (I don't want to waste a FP+ for say, Dumbo, if that is now a short wait due to there being two.) Thanks in advance!!! Katman1356...Jason 1,140
If you want to ride Space, Splash, or Big Thunder those would be safe bets to me. I am sure others will chime in.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Mine Train FP+'s are hard to come by, so you want those. In my opinion, FP+'s for the parades and Wishes are a waste. If anyone in your crew wants to meet Anna and Elsa, the standby times are insane, so FP+ that. What I would suggest is that you spend some time playing with the MDE app and look at standby wait times- if there are any attractions you want to do that have long standby waits (e.g. Peter Pan), you want to use your FP+ for those attractions. You are correct- you don't want to use a FP+ for Dumbo. Also, if any in your crew are under the height limit for any of the big rides, you need to bone up on the Rider Switch Pass. That would be a good thing for you. TCD Momof6....aka Marty and Katman1356...Jason
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Good advice already and I agree that any of the mountains/mine train are FP+ candidates if you want to ride those. We only ever ride Peter Pan after midnight, since it seems the wait is always an hour otherwise. So if that's on your list... Everything else should be manageable, but I like TCD's suggestion of scoping out wait times between now and then to help you decide. Oh and um... no apologies!!! We're here to have our brains picked (such as they are). If nothing else you know you'll get plenty of answers to any question you might ask. You'll just have to wade through some silly ones from time to time. Momof6....aka Marty and Katman1356...Jason
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I admit to being a crazy planner and love doing it, so ask away. I would actually do PP at rope drop. My choices would be: ETwB (takes a long time, so you don't want to do it at RD because it eats up too much time when lines are short.)Mine TrainAnna & ElsaSpaceSplashThunder
h2odivers...Ray 952
The last three posters have you great advice which I have nothing to add. But I was wondering how many days you were going? The reason I ask is a 4 day w/ park hopper is $334. And a 5 day w/out is $274. That's $50 per ticket savings. Or is being able to park hop important to y'all?

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Marty, if you make rope drop you can get in 2-3 attractions before needing FP+. I agree with the others that the mountains and mine train are the prime FP+ candidates.
Momof6....aka Marty 769
Yup, tickets are already bought and paid for through home school thing, but thanks for the input! Our list of what I think we want to do at MK is: Anna & Elsa Meet and GreetMine TrainSpace MountainPirates of the carribeanHaunted mansionSplash MountainBig Thunder Mountain railwayDumboGoofy’s barnstormerEnchanted tales with BellePeter pan’s FlightIt’s a small worldMickey’s PhilharmagicJungle CruiseSwiss family robinsonEnchanted tiki roomPeople moverMain Street electric paradeWishesMove it, shake it paradeFantasy paradeSpace ranger SpinWinnie the PoohLittle MermaidCarousel of progress I bolded the six I am thinking of trying to get FP+ for. But I could instead take Kelly's advice and got to Peter Pan at Rope Drop and then FP+ Enchanted tales with Belle. I have to have all this decided before 7/25, when I can make my FP+s. That only gives me 36 days!! :panic:

Since everyone is heading to either the Mine Train or Anna and Elsa, I think rope drop might be better than ever at the MK. It would be a great time to do some of those Fantasyland rides that develop long waits later- Peter Pan and Pooh come to mind. TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Unlikely you'll need FP+ for Pirates. I agree with hitting Fantasyland at rope drop for things like Peter Pan, and even Enchanted Tales with Belle, and save FP+ for the mountains, mine train and A&E. It would be a great time to do some of those Fantasyland rides that develop long waits later- Peter Pan and Pooh come to mind. TCD Exactly. And the rides in Fanstasyland are mostly short. You could do (in this order) PP, Pooh, meet Ariel (before riding), ride Little Mermaid, Barnstormer, and Dumbo in about an hour or so.... all before the crowds hit. I know because I've done that. Hit IASW at that point because it's long and eats up too much RD time. Do ETwB at that point with FP+, and you'll be ready for lunch at BOG. Unlikely you'll need FP+ for Pirates. I agree with hitting Fantasyland at rope drop for things like Peter Pan, and even Enchanted Tales with Belle, and save FP+ for the mountains, mine train and A&E. I agree. We always ride Pirates at night and rarely have a wait. It's also an excellent candidate for the 4th FP+ as is Buzz. He just released a book. http://www.amazon.com/Guide-First-Disney-World-Visit/dp/1941500064/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403122651&sr=8-1&keywords=the+easy+guide+to+your+first+visit But he's also keeping the website updated and just posted new cheat sheets that are current with the FP+ tiers that were just changed. http://www.easywdw.com/category/cheat-sheets/ I'm actually surprised at some of his current suggestions, but his advice has always been good. Personally I'd skip Belle. Not that great unless you're in front of the mirror and get to see all of the magic or you have a family member chosen for a part. No way! Everyone who wants a part can get one. They even have extra parts they just break out when there are lots of volunteers. It would be so cool for all her kids to be in it together! Marty, have you considered doing a photopass share?

I know where you're coming from, Gwen, but I have to agree with GDF here. Belle would be a blast with a big family. All of the kids (and even Marty) could play a role. It would be fun! And the perfect thing to do right before heading to lunch at BOG. TCD

I have spent most of the day working on my spreadsheet. I did take time off to go out to lunch with my husband and 7yo, but hadto bite my tongue to keep from talking about the trip, which is to be a surprise for the kids; (Except Sarah, the oldest, who is helping with the trip>)Personally I'd skip Belle. I don't think we can swing it, as we are at the top of our budget already.
