I found this post on page 2 of new content, and decided to post so it will get bumped up to the top.

I don't know about the Pepper Market.  We did stop by Coronado Springs for lunch one day last year, and found that the quick serve location seemed to have been expanded.  The Pepper Market was a full buffet for breakfast and lunch, but I think it was still serving dinner the same.  Like I said, that was a year ago.  I recall hearing that there have been changes since.  It used to be a popular spot, but I haven't heard much about it at all lately.

We haven't been to Pepper Market in a few years.  We enjoyed it quite a bit then.

I've tried to find current reviews elsewhere, but haven't had much luck.

This one on Disney Food Blog is from July 2011

There is a breakfast one from November 2013

There's also an article on the changes that were made in December 2011 where they tested a breakfast and dinner buffet (this might be what TCD is remembering)

The current menus on the Disney site don't mention buffets...

Lunch https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/coronado-springs-resort/pepper-market/menus/lunch/

Dinner https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/coronado-springs-resort/pepper-market/menus/dinner/

Hopefully we've got some Fiends that have been there more recently and can share their experience.

If not, we may need someone to take a field trip!  :)

Thanks, Mo.

It may have been two years ago that we stopped by there- I definitely remember that lunch was a buffet.  And it wasn't cheap.

From looking at the current menus, it looks like the Pepper Market has been morphed into a typical resort quick serve location.  Thanks Disney Dining Plan.

Well, that's a shame to hear. We liked it because it was easy to tailor a small lunch for my wife and a big lunch for me, with plenty of variety to choose from, and only pay for what you get. AYCE buffets never work out to a good deal for us. So, the Earl it is, and I'm not sad about that!

Looks like the buffet experiment was a flop and they went to the typical WDW food court model.

Yes, that is exactly what it looks like.

When we were there, the location called Café Rix was similar to a quick serve like at Wilderness Lodge- a few sandwiches and salads-refillable mugs, etc.  Now, it looks like that venue is more like an ice cream shop, and all the quick serve has shifted over to the Pepper Market.

The Pepper Market used to be unique.  Now, it's just like any other moderate resort food court.  Ho hum.

Well, it took me almost a year to get there, but I checked out the Coronado Springs quick serve restaurant last week.  And, it was great!  I would compare it to the Port Orleans food courts in terms of variety and quality.  We had food from the Mexican station, and it was very good- I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same food served at the Mexican quick serve location in Epcot.  It seemed identical.  They also had stations with pizza and chicken nuggets, etc.

I believe the main bar and restaurant there are owned by the same people who own La Cava and San whatever the place inside is called.

I think you're right.  The quick serve seemed to be a cut above the usual Disney stuff.  One of the twins had chicken strips, and she said the chicken and fries were not the same as what is universally served at other quick serve locations on property.

Good to know!  We ate there once years ago and liked it.  I've been meaning to get back over there to check out Rix Lounge, we may need to squeeze in a meal here while we're at it.
