momofmany...Christina 17
It went really well, Kristie! No problems at all and we actually got here a night early!
momofmany...Christina 17
The readers at the comfort stations are really really sensitive. You only have to walk within about 3 feet of the laundry room door and it will chime and unlock if you are wearing a magic band. It does this even if you have you hands in your pockets. mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
In some ways that is good if you have your hands full of laundry or kids and shower supplies, but in some ways, not so good, the scurge will take advantage somehow

Very interesting!! These definitely aren't the same locks as the resort rooms - or at least not the same "settings." I had to take my MB off a couple of times to get that thing lined up perfectly to work.
momofmany...Christina 17
The restrooms have never been locked when I have been there. I go to bed fairly early though.

Yeah, they aren't locked until midnight. So, please set your alarm and go like at 3 am and let us know. Thanks. TCD
momofmany...Christina 17
Most of the time the resort gates have been working the same way. You don't even have to stick your arm out the window to open the gate. Most of the the time.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Aren't the resort doors similar to the old CS readers, or have they put Mickey Heads on the doors? Dave- This is how all the resort room doors look. They require the Mickey head on the MB to be tapped to the Mickey head on the door to work. A physical tap is required, no waving: TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo

Maybe since POP has the new Mickey Head as MO posted they are going to eventually switch them all.

I'll let Mo clarify, but I'm pretty sure that's what the scanners look like on the POP doors and all other WDW resort doors. TCD

Also new signs being added
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
So, the scanners on the resort doors are not really much like the retail location scanners. That scanner on the comfort station door isn't like what's on the resort doors. Does it light up like the scanners at the parks? TCD
Grumpy and Grandma 740
Does it light up like the scanners at the parks? TCDYep, spins too. So does the gate.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Yep, spins too. So does the gate. I wonder if Darth Vader will talk to me if I had a Star Wars Magic Band? Might be kind of creepy at the restroom door. TCD

Sorry - for some reason I thought you meant the old CS card readers. Yes, the POP rooms are the same as what TCD showed - the "flat" version of the Mickey Head touch point thingys.
