Toy Story Midway Mania - High Point Tips

Ok you Toy Story Maniacs... time to share your tips for getting those super high (real) scores. I knew a few of these but some are new to me.

10. Aim for accuracy.  The more you shoot and miss the more it slows down your ability to gain points.  Check the screen on your ride vehicle for your score and accuracy rating at the end of each round.

 

9. Work as a team to unlock  more points. For instance hit the fox in the farm scene which opens up more high point targets, then hit the chickens. Hit the two pigs, the cat and then the beavers.

 

8. Some scenes have more high point targets than others, like the farm scene has more than the plates so look for those and aim at them. These additional targets pop up in response to hitting special targets first. In Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’  Gallery hit a shot through the saloon doors and a bunny appears followed by eight high point targets on top of the building.

 

7. Hit the lava flow balloons that will make the volcano erupt 500 pt. balloons and shoot as fast as you can to get these. Shoot the balloons off the side of the Triceratops and then the ones behind the pink dinosaurs head.  Go back and hit those on the volcano and the eruption again. Watch for comets and hit those for growing value of balloons.

 

6. In the ring toss scene ring all of the aliens before they can regenerate and you unlock the monster  that you can then rapid-fire rings into his mouth for 500 and 1000 points each. Don’t miss the alien ships for 5000 pts each. Rockets are good for points and they regenerate too.

 

5. Green Army Man plate shoot, if both players can hit the two 2000 point jumping  gold plates, more plates of high value will pop up too. Watch for the tank.

     

4. Most people aim for the targets high up , but aim for the targets at the bottom, they are easier to hit and have big points too.  Keep shooting other targets until they reappear and then hit them again.

 

3. Look for the moving targets for higher point counts.

In the Mine Carts near the end of the ride I have been able to redeem higher points than the other parts of the game, so even if you are having a bad round previous to this part, you could turn that around here.  Hit the targets on the mine cars as they come out of both tunnels, as soon as you see the bat appear at the top of the screen hit it for 1000 points. Go back to hitting both rows of targets coming toward you.  As soon as you see the bat appear at the top again, when it is worth 5000 points, hit it and your mine targets will change to 5000 points allowing you to rapidly grow your score.

 

1. Be prepared at the last round of the game where you are facing a large target marked with 500 points. Hit that center section in rapid fire motion to change it from 500 points to 1000 and 2000 points. Ignore the pain in your arm and fire as fast as you can.

Jason had his own TSM built in his garage Sil was a little upset because she can't park her car in the garage. But now that she beats him at TSM she's ok with it.

They released a version of it for different video games systems including the Wii. I have that one. It even has unlockable 3-d levels and came with the old school red and blue lens paper 3d glasses.

Man I wish I had a garage. I wouldnt have built this but Sil would still be parking in the rain. It would be a workshop.

 As I have a max wait time policy of 30-35 minutes, I've never done TSM, and as CMs haven't been able to pre-book FPs, I probably never will do it.

These tips are a pant load. I just aim that ray gun at all the nearby riders and eliminate the competition.

I randomly move the gun around and fire in all directions hoping to hit something. Then, and this is the key, at the end I complain that my gun must have been broken and I should have gotten a much higher score.

When I was a kid my brother would take two sticker off of the same corner and switch them. Then I next time I picked it up I wouldn't be able to solve it. It took a little while to figure our which to stokers he switched. If he wouldn't of been much bigger than me I would have kicked his butt

Geek alert. I have a cube sitting next to my chair right now. I still play with the cube almost daily. I've wore a few of them out and have to replace them periodically.
