Hope there are no sleeping kiddies in those bungalows.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Speaking of the Electric Water Pageant, the Disney Parks Blog just posted a photo of the EWP as seen from the Bungalows: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/03/disney-parks-after-dark-view-of-the-electrical-water-pageant-from-new-bora-bora-bungalows-at-walt-disney-world-resort/ Geez, that looks great if you're one of the 20 families who get to stay in a bungalow. Too bad everyone else's view is blocked. TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Now that is a front road seat to be sure. Although I'm still thinking you're going to need earplugs.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Haven't heard anything concrete about a soft opening, but if I were you I'd swing by early just in case.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
One comment I've heard a couple of times about Trader Sam's is that it's going to be hard to get a seat inside for a long time until the novelty wears off. The inside seating capacity is only 51 guests. That's not good. TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Yeah I'd imagine it's going to be a zoo for a good long while. I'm thinking it might be a bit easier to get in after 8 when the under 21 crowd isn't allowed.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Yeah, but the Disney Parks Blog just posted that it is opening tomorrow!: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/03/much-anticipated-trader-sams-grog-grotto-opens-at-disneys-polynesian-village-resort/ Enthusiastic fans of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel are celebrating the soft opening March 28 of the East Coast version. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is located off the main lobby of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort; the adjacent Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace offers views of the marina and Seven Seas Lagoon. Official opening is set for late-April, when the coveted Tiki souvenir glassware arrives. (Tiki fans go bananas for the collectible mugs.) As soon as the official date is set, we will share on the Disney Parks Blog. TCD BradyBzLyn...Mo

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Hmmmm. I wonder if it'll be crazy.... It's hard to say. They just announced it this afternoon. How many people will drop everything and rush there? Since this is a soft opening, and not being hyped too much, I think it will be better than it's going to be once they officially open it. Take one for the team and go! TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Then it'll be doubly crowded with the professional drinkers showing up I won't be there until April 30th. Since this is a soft opening, and not being hyped too much, I think it will be better than it's going to be once they officially open it. Take one for the team and go! TCD I think TCD is right. I'd be willing to bet that most average Guests who don't have 20,000 posts on a Disney message board don't even know about it, especially if they're not staying at the Poly. And while you might get some folks wandering over from MK to check it out, it really might not be terrible. Go!! :)
