Katman1356...Jason 1,140 Posted April 29, 2014 Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 Finally getting a little time to myself again so I have uploaded my pics and will share some of them here. We ended up with 470 from our long weekend so I wont post them all but if you want to see what I don't the folder is public. Just click on a photo and you will be brought to the pictures. Tuesday April 15 I was supposed to work the next day before leaving for Gettysburg but there really wasn't any work to do. I had banged it all out Mon and Tues so I called my boss and inquired about taking a half a vacation day so we could head out in the morning. He said yes so we loaded up everything we could Tuesday night. Wednesday April 16 We loaded the last of our stuff in the truck and then loaded Jedi up. He hadnt had a chance to go for a ride in the new truck yet so I wasnt sure how he was going to handle the change. When I got him out there though he jumped right in and took his seat ready to go camping. We didnt really take any pictures on the way to Gettysburg so we are going to jump ahead to arrival. When we got there some Fiends had already arrived and where "kind" enough to be the peanut gallery while I set up the PUP. I thought I had enough materials to compensate for the incline I knew I would be on but ended up being short. Mr. Whip came to my rescue though with some wood to put under the BAL leveler and I had just enough to cover the stabilizers. Didnt get any good pics of the set up but here is what we do have. These were actually taken later in the weekend. Once we were set up with beds and what not made we made a run to a pizza place up the street for dinner as we hadnt brought anything to cook. Remember we were early arriving and had originally planned on eating on the road on the way down. We enjoyed our pizza (Bob you wouldn't like our pizza) and hung out around the fire with those who had arrived. Ended up going to bed by around 10 to get rested for the next day. We figured we would make a short run so we could check on the puppy since this would be only his second time left alone in the PUP even if he was in his crate. He was doing fine so after taking him for a quick walk I checked out the camera to make sure it was good to go and we headed over to Hershey. The office/rec hall at Granite Hill the Driveway out Driving through Gettysburg to the highway On the highway heading towards Hershey You get the idea. Lots of farms and rolling hills. Last year when we were down for Easter weekend I promised SIl a milkshake and we just never had the time. Had to fulfill the promise this year. Look Green Grass!! I love an open road. going over I believe the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg. Getting closer We didnt have a lot we wanted to do but an hour just for a milkshake is a bit much even for us so we road the free "Factory Tour" Look just like Disney. No one pays for the photo. LOL Time for Milkshakes! And then we left. We didnt see anything we were dying to buy and the place was packed. We took our shakes and hit the road. First I tried something with our DSLR. Selfie! On the way back to the campground we went back over the River in Harrisburg and SIl loves all the bridges so she grabbed a better picture. Apparently that is pretty much all I have from that day. Pretty good to me. So i took a bunch of Sunrise over Granite Hill pictures for TCD. I was pretty much the only one up at this point. Jedi was awake though. Later in the day Bill's daughter wanted to try to fly a kite for the first time and I was trying to help her as I thought it would make for cool pictures, not enough wind this day though. The kites did fly later on though. While I had the camera I noticed a local had come to call on us. I am going to wrap this one here as next we head to the Gettysburg National Monument Visitor Center and then do the auto tour. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The slide would be covering where the kitchen would go if we didnt pull the bed out. The tenting also wouldnt be tight on that end with out if set up so rain could get in or bugs. Also we each take a bunk and Jedi sleeps with me. That way we dont have to climb over each other or wake each other up in the night. I'm in! And so is Adam! He says hi Jedi!!And I say hi Sil!
