AC in A2......Aaron 693
I think the new fiend challenge should be finding someone wearing a MB shirt! Find, photograph, and then make fun of them here. Ready, Set, Go!! Awesome photos of the monorail resort Christmas decorations! Well done! And, I think you got a photo of the five legged goat. At least I hope that's a leg. TCD That is in fact the Five-Legged Goat. You can't pass by it and not snap a picture can you? I agree. Who would actually wear one? They're stupid. Really lame. I don't believe people would pay $30 for that. I want to see proof. The GF really knows how to decorate for the holidays. Beautiful. I am not that big a fan of the GF, but it does have a gorgeous lobby and even more so at Christmas.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-8-13 (continued): Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice................er........I mean the Grand Floridian. DW loves the GF lobby and it is beautiful I agree. We hopped back on the Monorail and got off at the MK. We decided to hop a boat from MK back to the Fort. They were about to switch out boat captains and the oncoming captain opened up his backpack and hooked the kids up with bandanas. DS received a pirate bandana and DD received a princess one. He also gave them more boat transportation trading cards. This guy was having a good time messing with all the younglings on the boat dock. We took the boat to the Fort and called it a night. The next morning was rope drop at the Animal Kingdom. We'll jump right in and show you our arrival: The kids love grabbing maps every time we enter a theme park: We went straight to Kilimanjaro Safaris and I grabbed paper FastPasses. Then we rode standby and walked right on: After the safari, DS wanted to go right back on using the FPs. DW took him back on the Safari while DD and I went for a walkabout. We went towards Everest and procured 4 more paper FPs and hung out in the area for a bit: DW and DS caught up with us and I went solo on Everest: After riding, I gave my remaining three FPs away to a guy who was a single rider. He said this was his favorite ride in WDW. Now he could ride three more times. I felt good about making that guy's day. Then we headed for DinoLand where something happened that I was not expecting. The kids wanted to ride Dinosaur but it was down for the count. It remained that way. So we made new plans........Dino Dumbos! Then our family did something that I swore I would never do............................................... and I actually suggested it. Stay Tuned.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Something else just struck me, with FP+ if your group is larger than the number that will actually ride, then getting an extra ride with FP+ will be difficult. You are a party of 4, but only two will actually ride Everest, but you actually still get 4 Legacy FP, and the two thrill seekers get to ride twice. Now, unless you start swapping MBs around which could be annoying and problematic, then the thrill seekers only get to ride once
DaveInTN 3,247
LOL at the guy next to you on Everest. He doesn't look very excited compared to you.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Did the GF have more Christmas trees than in previous years? I don't remember seeing so many smaller ones.

He doesn't look very excited compared to you. Yeah. He was a Debbie Downer. I actually tried to engage him in conversation for a minute before we boarded but he wanted no part of it. He didn't seem like he was having much fun. Did the GF have more Christmas trees than in previous years? I don't remember seeing so many smaller ones. Someone else will need to answer that because this was our first time at WDW during the Christmas season......it looked awesome though.
kampfirekim 260
The Grand Floridian is always beautiful but for some reason I just can't warm up to it. Love to visit though. Score on the bandanas! I love those "great CM" encounters. Those are the ones who know how to spread a little magic.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-9-13 (continued) On to the Dino Dumbos: Like I said before, we tried to ride Dinosaur after Dino Dumbos. The Dino Dumbo CMs said it was closed and they had no idea when it would come back online. It seems that ride is always down for repairs when we are there. I have a horrible back and therefore couldn't care less that it went down. I remember that ride not being very good for somebody with a bad back. It has been a long time since I was on it though. Anyway, we couldn't ride Dinosaur and the kids were bummed. So I suggested something that I could hardly believe I was suggesting. I asked them if they wanted to go to the Boneyard. They didn't even know what it was since we had been keeping it a closely guarded secret. When I explained what it was, they became excited at the prospect. So we went to the boneyard. I bet some of you think I am lying based on what I have posted in the past. Here's the proof: The kids had a blast. We'll be back again in the future. Do you know why? Because the kids had a blast. A couple more pics in DinoLand: After DinoLand we went to Nemo. We had a FP+ ressie for it, but it was totally unnecessary. After Nemo, we saw some more animals... The kids received more transportation cards on the way back to the Fort: This seems like a logical place to stop. We swam again at the Fort during the afternoon. We will be heading to the Wilderness Lodge to take in the Christmas decorations and eat dinner in the next update.
kampfirekim 260
Great update! We don't ride Dinosaur either. Neither of us like it and and it freaks the kids out. We do , however. LOVE the Nemo show! A feast for the eyes and ears! Your kids are stinkin' cute. If they meet me they may walk away without faces as I may kiss them off. AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-9-13 (continued) Here is a quick weekend update since I left you hanging yesterday. After the afternoon swim at the Fort, we hopped a boat to the Wilderness Lodge to see the Christmas decorations and grab some dinner: DS pointed out something he desired again when we passed Roaring Forks. He had been talking about this menu option since our last trip. I told him we would come back to Roaring Forks to satisfy his curiosity later in the trip, but today we were not eating at RF. We have arrived in the lobby: I hope Bobby and all the execs at Disney appreciate the person(s) who designed this place and came up with all the great ideas at WL, because it is gorgeous. If you haven't been there to check it out. Go. Walk around. The boat rides on Bay Lake when the sun is waning are also gorgeous. Next up.....more at Wilderness Lodge. alexwyattmommy 181
Saw the random bride too. That was cool. Too much to comment on, cause I missed tons of updates. I am seriously sad to not be on the boat from the Fort to the Lodge at this very moment in time.
momof3kids-Yvonne 595
I agree about the Wilderness Lodge. We went there for dinner on our last night of WWW. I had never been before. Anyone who has never been really needs to go over there. I know this will sound cliche, but pictures you may see online just do not do it justice. It is beyond beautiful. If I was ever to stay at a deluxe resort, this would be my choice.

AC in A2......Aaron 693
Boneyard.....proof that you have lost your mind. When you're right, you're right. Tell you what, the next time I see a MSB cinnamon roll, I'll buy you one to make up for my transgression against the Anti-Boneyard crowd. I'll buy myself one too. Great picture! I have not been to GF but hope to one day. Really enjoying your report, looking forward to more! If you have the chance to see it during the Christmas season, you really should. Thanks for reading along! I can't believe you went to the Boneyard. TCD I know. I feel so dirty now. I need to make amends somehow. We have been to the boneyard. Little H loves it... We do not, but only because we can't keep our eyes on G. we made the kids stay together for the same reason. I have never seen the glow in the dark lobster... I am not sure where they even are... Glad you paid your homage to the bone yard... I swear we still have sand in our camper from there. It is actually a scorpion. Apparently many species glow under a black light. I think it was on the exploration trail. Did my eyes deceive me or was there a random bride in one of those photos? There was a bride. I was wondering who would chime in and comment on that. The bride and groom looked like they were having an excellent time with the photographer. Saw the random bride too. That was cool. Too much to comment on, cause I missed tons of updates. I am seriously sad to not be on the boat from the Fort to the Lodge at this very moment in time. The boat rides are awesome. They are a definite Salted Caramel on TCD's DIT scale of WDW stuff. I agree about the Wilderness Lodge. We went there for dinner on our last night of WWW. I had never been before. Anyone who has never been really needs to go over there.
