AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-7-13 (continued) Incidentally, before we get to the parade. Today was Pearl Harbor Day. DS remembers things like that and he remembered this time as well. It makes me proud. I consider myself to be very patriotic and have an extreme respect for our active soldiers and veterans who have served. I am proud that I have passed that on to my kids. Okay, on to the continued pics of Main Street and parade taping: Did you see all of those people? We thought we were going to walk down a nearly empty Main Street and take some nice pics. These people were being told by CMs that they would be there for several more hours. They were mostly standing or sitting around and looking extremely bored. I will never in a million years participate in that nonsense. We continued toward breakfast. And took a couple pics on the way: After our arrival at Crystal Palace, they announced our presence to everyone who cared. So that would be no one. We went inside and started to partake in some very good food. The food was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the food at Cinderella's Royal Table during our February visit. A small sampling: Of course we met some peeps from the Hundred Acre Wood: On the way back from visiting the buffet again, I noticed Tigger absconded with someone's seat: Soon he and Piglet made there way to us: DS asked Tigger to bounce and he provided a bit of entertainment by "bouncing" around for a few moments. The kids got a kick out of that. After breakfast it was time to head to Big Thunder because that is DD's favorite. We'll head there in the next update.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great update. I guess it was not a big deal that all those people were on Main St.-doesn't look like the restaurant was crowded. I'm sure Tigger appreciated your son asking him to bounce. Thumbs up on the Griswald Christmas shirt. Classy. TCD

Classy.TCDYou have no idea how many people stopped to compliment that shirt and ask me where I got it. I didn't count but 25 would probably be a conservative guess. For anyone wondering here, my wife bought it at Target.

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Balloon coupon=WINNING! Love that your son knows Pearl Harbor Day. Is he a Scout? As much as I bashed them in my TR, I want Z to be one. Puffed French Toast=Yum! We've never done CP, but I think we should.
DaveInTN 3,247
Love CP. Haven't been in a while. Should probably rectify that.
momof3kids-Yvonne 595
I just want you to know that had I been there when they announced your presence at CP, it would have mattered to me. But, alas I was not there. In fact I have never been there. The food and character interactions do place it on my list of places I want to go when I am at Disney World list. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Puffed french toast and it was awesome. Oh. I thought it was a piece of fried chicken. But then I thought those CP snobs probably frown on fried chicken as a breakfast food. Not the TCD gang. That's on the menu the morning after we have a GAG. As much as I bashed them in my TR, I want Z to be one. Puffed French Toast=Yum! We've never done CP, but I think we should. CP was good. I would definitely do it again. DS is not a scout. He is already involved in football, baseball, and basketball. In fact he is currently playing his basketball season, has travel baseball practice three days per week, and has football clinics the next two weeks. There is zero time for anything else after coupling his sports with DD's soccer, etc.Love CP. Haven't been in a while. Should probably rectify that. Yes. You should. Soon.I just want you to know that had I been there when they announced your presence at CP, it would have mattered to me. But, alas I was not there. In fact I have never been there. AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-7-13 (continued): We have just finished CP breakfast and are working our way toward BTMRR. I took this pic on the way: DD loves BTMRR. We got paper FPs as soon as we got there and then walked right onto the ride: I know they say you should stow all your belongings, but I am a rebel. I live on the edge: DD liked it so much the first time (this trip) that we got back in line and it was still walk-on: We met up with DW and DS after the second ride and DS said he wanted to go to Tom Sawyer Island. The kids have never been there and I think I may have been a kid the last time I was there. Also, we had a FP+ time right now for BTMRR, but since we rode it twice and DS and DW were waiting, I switched the FP+ to another attraction, but I don't remember which one. We will head to TSI in the next update.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
Okay, on to Tom Sawyer Island: This spot would be great for a coffee or beer and relaxation.......when the kids are older and can head off on their own for a bit.....I will be revisiting this spot: Moving on: Next we will peruse the Fort.....
AC in A2......Aaron 693
Fort Langhorn that is......... Look. Another future relaxation spot: I loved the vantagepoint from the Fort: It was time to leave the Fort and Island behind and head to Fantasyland for a FP+ reservation. We may run into some ugliness on the way....in the next installment.
kampfirekim 260
Whew! Finally all caught up. Ice storms in SC are so inconvenient! Great updates and photos. Apparently I do not read enough TR's, as all of the boy scouts I know sound like boyscouts, not girl scouts..

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I think it would be fun to RD BTMRR and see how many times we could ride it before it got too crowded. I meant to make it out to see Tom on our last trip, but the darn rain kept us away. Next time.... Those look like some GREAT places to relax! When you catch up on Kelly's TR you will get the reference. Yeah, where have you been, KFK???

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Really enjoyed your pictures! BTMRR has so many details. As many times as I've ridden and photographed it, I saw new things in your photos. It's been probably 30 years since we visited TSI. Looks like we need to make another visit. dvccamper 32
It's been years since I've been on Tom Sawyers Island. Not sure I can talk my teenagers into it but maybe I'll sneak over myself next trip. It does have some great views of thunder mountain.

That's a great idea Rennie.....now if you cold only sneak a couple beers in too. I think it would be fun to RD BTMRR and see how many times we could ride it before it got too crowded. I meant to make it out to see Tom on our last trip, but the darn rain kept us away. Next time.... Those look like some GREAT places to relax! Yeah, where have you been, KFK??? I am fairly certain we could have rode BTMRR 2-3 more times without waiting in much of a line. Taking the kids to TSI- I salute you! Good choice. Looks like they had fun too. TCD They had a lot of fun and DW and I had fun watching them have fun. I enjoyed walking around as well. Really enjoyed your pictures! BTMRR has so many details. As many times as I've ridden and photographed it, I saw new things in your photos. It's been probably 30 years since we visited TSI. Looks like we need to make another visit. Thanks Gwen. I just looked back at the last update and noticed a couple of my pics are upside down. I must have forgotten about the upside down parts of BTMRR. It's been years since I've been on Tom Sawyers Island. Not sure I can talk my teenagers into it but maybe I'll sneak over myself next trip. It does have some great views of thunder mountain. There are some great views and a few nice relaxation spots. I think we ran into a couple more people there, but it was pretty desolate. Makes me wonder if it will remain as is, or get changed into something else. It's apparently not a big draw anymore. We have for to get to TSI, haven't been since I was a kid. I bet your DS would love it.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
2-7-13 We are headed to Fantasyland to fulfill one of our FP+ reservations next, but first we met some ugly women on the way: I took the obligatory Mine Train pics too. It has been landscaped since we left and they are testing now so this looks dated: We walked past Peter Pan's Flight and noticed a lengthy line already....but no worries...I used our KTTW cards for these: And here we are for our first FP+ usage in AC in A2 family history! DD was picked to be the Beast after letting out a very comical and extremely loud, ferocious roar: And keeping my growing streak alive, I was once again picked to be a guard: Inside the library, DD had her chance to scare the dainty princess: Then DD got to dance with Belle. This is the first time I have seen them pick a girl to be the Beast. I was happy for DD that she got the opportunity......I see no problem with letting the girls get a chance at that experience as well: Next we will ride some trusty steeds and fastpass our way to Neverland. Ah yes. Paper fastpasses. This would be the last trip to use them for us, and we needed to use them to our advantage. I am not happy they won't be around next trip. Hopefully in late January/early February the crowds will remain light and it won't cause much of a change in our ability to ride certain things. I am not liking the tiering and only one park per day garbage with FP+. I hope that changes after they get all the kinks worked out.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I have never seen a little girl get to be the Beast- good for your DD! And props to you for carrying on the proud Fiend tradition of serving as a guard for Belle. I miss paper FP's. TCD
