AC in A2......Aaron 693
12-14-13 (continued) In the last update we left off with us going to the pool and the 2000 loop water main break. Now we are headed back to the marina to catch a boat to the MK again. We saw this cart down by the marina: I love how people customize their carts with their favorite college decor. Someday maybe I'll have one with Irish and Wolverine decor. Anyway, on our way to MK: Here we are at the MK. We had not been on the train in quite a long time so we headed up to the train station: We took the train to Storybook Circus: DW and the kids hung out for a bit while I went in search of some FPs and here is what I came up with: In case you're wondering, I was able to get 8 FPs for each ride. In the past you could get one set for each because of Dumbo not being on the regular fast pass system according to some of our experts here. This trip, I learned a trick to get twice as many. But alas paper FPs are gone forever now. Here we are at Dumbo Dumbo: Continued in the next post...............
AC in A2......Aaron 693
DS and I waited for DW and DD to ride Barnstormer: Then I took DD back on Barnstormer: Next we headed to see Belle on a FP+ ressie: And look who was picked to be the Beast: Um. My streak is now over. I was not picked to be a guard. I have an excuse though. The CM never even looked at our end of the room. He asked the adults to march and then immediately handed the guard gear to two dudes that had barely taken a couple steps. That CM SMB. DS practiced his scary Beast face when we got to the library: More Library pics: And.......action! As you can see he jumped completely out of his cape when he scared Belle, and he was ear piercing loud with his roar.......it was all pretty funny. DD as the feather duster and her brother, the Beast: Continued in the next post............
AC in A2......Aaron 693
On to one of DS's favorites which we also had a FP+ for......DD and I rode together and DS and DW rode together: We had an early morning coming so we headed for the exits: When we got back to the Fort we went back to the PUP and then I took the cart to the Meadows to grab ice and took a couple pics: It was right then that it hit me that we were leaving in the morning. That SMB. We left the next morning at 0600. Here are a few pics from the trip home: We drove straight through, stopping only four times for gas and bathroom breaks. We got home around midnight I believe. Next WDW trip.......January 2015. Thanks for reading along. Stay tuned to the trip report forum for some 1989 trip updates to my Trip Back in Time report. I was able to procure more pics and some video. Peace.
dblr....Rennie 224
Great trip report Aaron, sorry to watch you leave but at least the kids still looked happy, we will also miss the paper fast passes as that's how we got thru our New Years trip.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great job, Aaron. I have never seen the Beast jump out of his cape before. Your son did good! And that's also the best Featherduster I've seen. It's sad to think that paper Fastpasses are gone for good. Things will be different for you the next time you visit. That ride home must have wiped you out. TCD

Beckers 1,136
So bummed your trip is over. I get sad for people when their trips are over and even sadder for me because we don't have one planned.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
So bummed your trip is over. I get sad for people when their trips are over and even sadder for me because we don't have one planned. Next one in January. It will be here before we know it. So many good things between now and then will happen with the kids school and sports. Hunting season, baseball, football, birthdays, holidays.......so no rush to get to January. Plus it was 60 today and it felt like 85 because its been cold so long. So like I said, no rush to get to January. Hopefully things will change and you can plan a trip soon. AC in A2......Aaron 693
I have been staying up nights for months bothered by something excluded from this trip report. I uploaded the pics from my Iphone, but always knew there were pictures missing. Today, you get a bonus update that will interest at least 2 of you.....I think. On 12-7-13, we exited the MK through the back way.......in the middle of the day. That was because they were filming the parade. I had never seen the back way open before, except at night. So here is a quick pictorial of our trip through the area behind the buildings on Main Street.....in daylight: Ok, here we are in the alternate exit......oh crap......do you see what this is in the next picture?!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are cinnamon rolls! WTF is going on here?!!! Were those going to the evil cartel? Were they going to be wheeled to the new, phony cinnamon roll eatery in New Fantasyland? I made a mad dash for the cart and took it hostage. Wait. No I didn't, but I wanted to. A CM looked at me funny for taking a picture of the cinnamon roll cart and he wheeled it away from me. So I took more pictures of the alternate exit: And here we are back in civilization: Ok. That's it. And now I can stop being bothered by the omitted photos. And I know Lou will read this now because it is so thoroughly interesting. And Troll will read it because it's amazing. Or they won't. The End. Again.

And I know Lou will read this now because it is so thoroughly interesting. You're correct I did read this addition. It's been kept a secret until now, but the cinnamon rolls are still available, but only to CMs.There are 2 CM cafeterias in that area and that's why the racks are there.I have a cinnamon roll, actually rolls, every time I work out of the MK. And sometimes I don't have enough time to finish them and have to throw one away. And don't those flags and shrubs really camouflage the area well? You'd never know that you are backstage. I hope that Lou is joking about the cinnamon rolls being available in the CM cafeteria. But, if it's true, I know how to get one. LOL at the flags and shrubs. It's interesting to me that they have apparently abandoned the notion of preventing guests from taking photos back here. I know that DIT mentioned being reprimanded for taking photos back here, and I had a CM hold her hand in front of my camera a couple years back to hide what was behind the curtain. Looks like everything's fair game now. TCD
