AuburnJen 777
I hope you don't have a 2006. We did and were not pleased.
Daverene 14
2011 crew max love it
Santa ... Shannon 160
2010 Crewmax, 27' TT with one slide. Sorry, don't remember the weights off-hand but there is lots of HP and braking power to spare experientially. The crewmax is a super comfy TV, too.
AuburnJen 777
I glad they fixed something since I have owned one.... :banghead:
fortpartyof4 108
We tow with a 2012 crewmax Platinum, 32' TT, 2 slides 6500 lbs. dry. However, we just got this one and haven't done much driving with it. Previously towed a 28', 1 slide, (I think) around 5,000 lbs. dry with no problems for 2 years. I drive a Sequoia that is 10 years old and going strong. It towed our first camper, a pop up, without issues for 2 years. My husband drove a Tacoma for a decade, when we upgraded to a TT he got the Tundra. Never a minute of trouble with the Tacoma, we were sad to see it go. Love our Toyotas. Dependable and durable. From reading his TRs, I know CKCK tows with one plus a cart in the bed.
Daverene 14
I just got a new tt 35 feet long 7600 lbs dry the old one that I towed was 31 6900 dry no problem don't think it will be much different never run with any water at all
stacktester 78
I was looking at the Tacoma crew cab 2wd for my daughters first ride and couldn't believe the prices. 10 year old ones with high miles still going for 10k. Crazy.
HillBillyWhisperer 20
I would think that driving on Tundra would be much easier than trying to tow with it but it appears many are doing it as long as it is the crewmax type tundra.
Santa ... Shannon 160
I wouldn't say the CrewMax is any more capable than regular or dual-cabs, so long as you have the tow package and 5.7. I do love the car-like interior and features of my CM Ltd. Especially the heated seats on long drives. Biggest problem with the Tundy IMO is the weight carrying capacity, which is really out of scale compared to the tow rating.
