DaveInTN 3,247
I used a service through dot photo.com because we started with that service in 2002 and have been paying a monthly fee since then (lots of photos archived there).Just did a book for my parents that is 74 pages, paid $29 or so for design service and total cost is around $100. Might be cheaper out there. But time is at a premium these daysSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks Dan! I love the idea for my parents, and for INC's parents as well. And for INC herself for our anniversary some year. If I did that, I would appear to be so thoughtful....LOL. Bonus points for me, and I don't have to mention that I got the idea from a Fiend. BigTom 76
My mother several years before she died took all the old photos and separated them according to each of us and mad scrap book for each child, there were 4 of us, and gave them for Christmas one year. They were the hit of the year.

DaveInTN 3,247
Moving along to another day....I'd like to say it was the next day, but in reality who knows? In any case, I do know that we had visitors one day. INC's brother lives in South Florida, and he drove up with his kids to spend a day at MK with us. Our Gwen....who is now 16 but was 3 for the trip, has two cousins that were born all within one week of each other. It was actually very cool, INC and both of her brothers all have daughters born the same week. The 3 cousins are very close to this day. And one of them was visiting with us in these pics. Here we are...back at Toontown! Of course, the girls wanted to go through Mickey's and Minnie's houses. They always enjoyed Toontown, but I always found it boring myself. I'd rather have sat on a bench and people watched while they went through the houses. I'm personally not sad that it is gone. I do like the Barnstormer, and am glad that it was retained. We rode the carousel again too. I'm sure we did lots of other MK stuff. But that's all the MK pics I have again. When I get to the negatives from this time period, I am going to check them to see if there are other shots that did not for some reason make it into the album. I have more pics from the trip....but not too many MK pics. Oh well. In any case, I do remember we all headed back to the WL. My BIL wanted to eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe, so we all had a late lunch or early dinner there...it was so much food that nobody needed another meal that day. I remember being stuffed with BBQ'd meats and sides. But as much as I enjoy a little of that food now and then, it's not usually something I crave. And it's not INC's thing at all. So we've never eaten there again in all the Fort trips we've taken. We also used the pool again that day before crashing for the night. And this time Izzy wasn't napping, so she got to swim too. I only have a handful of photos left taken around the Lodge. I'll share those in a final update coming up.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Ah, Mickey and Minnie's houses! Seems like they've been gone forever. We spent a lot of time in those houses. The TCD girls all had to take a turn baking that cake in Minnie's house every time. Every time. I'm with you- not sad to see those houses go at all. TCD
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
These pictures are great! Now I want cake. Dave, I used printerpix.com to make a book for my mom of our last Disney trip and was very happy with the quality. The family thought it was an actually Disney product that I had paid big bucks for. Truth is, I got a groupon, and it only cost me $12 including shipping. If you register for their site, they send coupons fairly regularly. Last week they had 75% off. DaveInTN 3,247
Final update? This is ending too soon! I know....but those 24 exposure rolls were pretty limiting. BUT....never fear! I realize I have pictures from a day trip to the MK in 2004 that I can include as Bonus Material! Ah, Mickey and Minnie's houses! Seems like they've been gone forever. We spent a lot of time in those houses. The TCD girls all had to take a turn baking that cake in Minnie's house every time. Every time. I'm with you- not sad to see those houses go at all. TCD I would've like to have depressed the plunger to dynamite those things. These pictures are great! Now I want cake. alexwyattmommy 181
I remember being very stingy with my roll of 12 exposures back when I was younger and had my own camera. The house pictures are cute.Looking forward to more and a bonus.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Looking forward to the bonus! I remember I used to take 10 36-exposure rolls for each trip and thought I was taking a lot of pics. Now those 10 rolls wouldn't even get me through a day. For my scrapbooks that I have printed I use artscow.com. They are always running specials too. I use them because their books are hand stitched, not glued. Over time glued books will fall apart. The only downside is that they are located in China and shipping takes awhile.
DaveInTN 3,247
The last pictures I have from this trip were taken around the hotel. Poor Emma....the sun has always bothered that girl's eyes. We tend to take the place for granted now after so many visits while staying at the Fort, but it really is a very nice resort. We always get a picture in front of this sign. INC and I grew up in a small town called Silver Creek. This is the first picture we ever took in this spot. But for comparison, here's one during Thanksgiving 2007 while we were camping at the Fort with my parents. And with my parents. Notice anyone additional in those pics? I should go through my later photos for more pics in front of that sign. In any case...that's all from this trip. As I mentioned before, I have some pics from a day trip to the MK in 2004 that I will share as bonus materials....coming up.

DaveInTN 3,247
Ok, folks. Fast forward now from May 2001 to April 2004. We (still just 5 of us then) were staying with my parents at their place about an hour from WDW for spring break, and decided to make a one day visit to the MK. The DIT grandparents stayed back and enjoyed their quiet day without us, while INC, the 3 girls and I drove down to the MK bright and early to get in a full day. It had been 3 years since our last trip to the World when we stayed at VWL. It's amazing how much kids change in 3 years. We of course had to torture ourselves for the sake of the children. Looks like we parked the stroller near the carousel? Yep, I guess we did. And we got a bite to eat. This looks like Pinnochio Village Haus to me....can anyone confirm? The girls wouldn't tell me what they were talking about here.....MPR rule in effect. Once again, I was a good father and waited in a long line to ride the dumb pachyderm. And then INC took the girls on the vomit cups. I refuse. I love this age. So stinkin cute. LOL. Coming up.....I take the 2 older girls on something for the first time. GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Love the sign pics! I want a bunch of years in a row, please! Great bonus material. I'm guessing you take them to Big Thunder Mountain!
dvccamper 32
I'm guessing Space Mountain. In the picture with Mary Poppins their shirts look wet, so they probably went on Splash Mountain. Unless your pictures are out of order and it's vomit.
