He came into New England Border Collie Rescue a few years ago with several of his family members (including a pregnant female). Roosie was born with deformed front legs. He was adopted by an amazing woman who lives in Portland Maine, which happens to be a very dog friendly city. Roosie is well known all over Portland, and frequently goes to the beach and on trail hikes. He fetches like a champ and really is just a normal, ball crazy BC who just happens to have wheels. In fact he's already worn out at least one cart and a spare set of wheels! You can check him out on his FB page where there are lots of photos and videos of Roosie in action.https://www.facebook.com/RooseveltTheBorderCollie Roosie comes to the rescue reunion most years and I'll tell you this much - he runs and plays and FLIES around out there with all the other dogs!!! If you see him rolling in your direction, get out of the way because, while Roosie has no trouble getting around, sometimes he has trouble putting on the brakes.
