caveat lector 181
Don't tell me you never watched the Beverly Hillbillies. Buddy Ebsen played Uncle Jed. And he was also in the Disney Davey Crockett TV show/movies. TCDSo you are saying there were characters other than Ellie May on that show. I don't recall

Lou... 3,118
All these great suggestions, and that's the one you pick?? There were some really great suggestions, but keep in mind that Gail and I spent most of our lives close to the Boston area, so we're still New Englanders through and through. Most of our immediate families are still there. And because we're huge Boston area sports fans, we were looking for a name that had a connection to the Boston area teams. We considered Papi(Ortiz), Brady(Tom Brady), Pedee(Dustin Pedroia), but none seemed to fit the little guy. The name Yawkey, in New England, is like Steinbrenner in NYC and Tampa, it's huge. So that connection and the fact that the dog is 1/2 Yorkie, which we pronounce Yawkey, may work for us. We'll see. Copper From the Fox and the Hound Great suggestion TJ. One of daughters loved that movie, and made me watch it at least 100 times with her. I grew to love it too. I would suggest Lucky as he was lucky you gave him a good home!! If you only knew how good a home he has, but I'm getting just as much out of this relationship as he is.

Momof6....aka Marty 769
The name Yawkey, in New England, is like Steinbrenner in NYC and Tampa, it's huge..If you named a dog Steinbrenner in NY, people would want to drop kick it. At least, all the nyers I knew. Hopefully the Yawkey name commands more respect and maybe even some love, cause that dog will get lots of love!

I vote for Tink. I can't tell if he's a boy or a girl. Maybe if he/she was flying overhead on a wire we could tell. It's a male. DawgAfter me? Are you sure you want to go with that? How about Josh? We don't have a basement, and I don't think he can read comic books. Elvis. Cute If Yawkie doesnt work . They say Melvin is a good name. We can't have two Melvins in the house, although Melvin's butt is technically outside. BradyBzLyn...Mo
Lou... 3,118
Seems the old busman needs some help with basic technology. Discovered what the problem was, and just in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem, this is what I discovered.Located in the left upper corner in the" reply to topic" box, there is a switch icon. I must have accidently switched it to "off". It must be in the "on" position or you'll have issues posting photos, and using the edit tools.

alexwyattmommy 181
I'm afraid he would be stuck with 'Baby' if he came to our house. Even though he is 5, he would be the newest addition and therefore the baby of the family. Course our cats are called Brother and Sister though they do have pretty names on their vet records. You mean like... a friend of ours has a border collie named Mirk TurkeyPants insists on calling him Phillip. Or Melvin could be his middle name. Brady's is Aloysius.
