All in all I think it came to about $40, which was probably $10 more than I'd have paid at the market. I remember a discussion about the trading post prices on another thread a while back and the point being made that the prices on perishable items like milk and eggs have always been less inflated than the outrageous mark-up on dry goods and alcohol. They need to keep the perishable stock moving, so they keep those prices more realistic so the stuff sells. It's a good thing for Fiends to keep in mind. Had to buy milk on our recent Nov. 7th trip and it was $2.49 I believe for a 1/2 gallon which is not far off from your standard grocery store price. Florida has always had crazy milk prices. I can get a full gallon for that here.My daughter in Omaha drives me crazy telling about her cheap milk and other grocery bargains. You are correct about Fl milk prices considering it's the second largest dairy producing state in the country. It's all because of the way the govt has the pricing set up.
