fladogfan aka Gretchen 259
Looks good, they seem to be putting them up earlier every year. Used to be the day after Thanksgiving. But that's fine with me.My theory is there are so many places to decorate that they need to get an early start. I remember the days when the trees lit up the day AFTER Thanksgiving too. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Mo, now get us a scoop on the schedule for next year... got some planning to do! I might need a crystal ball for that one! And this year's resort decorations are up a lot sooner than the prior few years at least. Not sure if that's a fluke or a new trend. 3Sealeys 1
How long do they keep the decorations up for. We weren't able to get a spot til the first week in January and still want to see them. We have seen the Fort decorated before but still would like to see it on this trip. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
How long do they keep the decorations up for. We weren't able to get a spot til the first week in January and still want to see them. We have seen the Fort decorated before but still would like to see it on this trip. It varies year to year. But, the resort decorations start coming down not long after January 1. They will probably all be gone by the 7th. I recall the Fort's decorations coming down on the 2nd or 3rd one year. Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
We noticed last year there was one section of lights out on the Fort tree. We chalked it up to being late in the season. Wonder if they test those things, or if they make corrections during the season.
3Sealeys 1
Oh well. We will have a good time with or without the lights. We will not miss them next year.
Tall Lady 2
Ok, we will be there next week...yay! On our trip we'll have a few days unscheduled. We'd like to spend some time looking at all the Christmas decorations. What resorts are a definite "Do not miss" and what is the best way to get to them (i.e. transportation)?
