Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
Nicki, I am so looking forward to your suite pictures! The morning we toured it I dropped my camera 6' onto the ground coming out of the moho. After that it quit focusing correctly, so most of my suite pictures are blurry. bummer OMG this is awesome. I'm soooooo jealous--not really--envious is closer. Now on with the show Tomorrow.. hopefully. All my ladies feel the same way about the Beast's transformation. They always laugh hysterically when the prince flings his head around so dramatically and his flowing hair flips around his head. They all think he looks ridiculous. Funny how so many women think the same thing... Still here and waiting for more pix! Waiting patiently.... :toiletreading: Well sorry but i was at MNSSHP tonight. Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
The Ballroom, The Music Box, and Some Stuff To those who have been inside BOG, patience grasshopper, for those who haven't hold on to your hats/eyeballs/rubber bands/etc. I may have taken around 150 pictures on a one hour tour, though not all were good enough for sharing. I believe she said this tapestry was meant to depict innocence, like Belle's. When no one is around they talk rather loudly- Beast's over sized chair- Indoor Crest Picture=- If I one the lottery, I would so have a ceiling like this- Now into the Ballroom-Apparently the same guy that painted Ariel's Mural did this one too (then he went back into retirement) Next Up - The Music Room, The West Wing, and Some other stuff

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Did your tour guide offer up any factoids about who those cherubs painted on the ceiling are? I had a CM tell me that they are paintings of the Imagineers and others who had something to do with the designing of BOG. TCD

Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
The Music Room, The West Wing, and Some other stuff Now we are heading to our right into the Music Box Room. As you can see in the pictures, they put a lot of roses in the room- The portraits on the wall show some of the images from the movie- I love the old style decor (paneling, cross beams, etc) The base of the music galore has special dials on four sides- This one is the Zodiac. One last picture of the music box before we go- That concludes our visit to the Music Room. Next up- The West Wing, and Some other stuff

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The music room is my least favorite- but you did a great job photographing some of the details in there. I never noticed the zodiac thing on the side of the big music box. I wonder why that is there? I'm sure that there is some reason/story for the different decorations on each side. Also, I don't know if the Imagineer covered this, but the plans in Maurice's workshop in the Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction are the plans for the big music box. Supposedly, Maurice made this giant music box as a wedding gift for his daughter and the Beast. If that's the story, then it's odd to me that Maurice depicted the prince that his daughter is marrying as a Beast, and not in human form. But nobody ever said Maurice was right in the head. TCD Each side has something on it. One is a clock, one the zodiac, one something to do with sea travel, and I think the last was a barometer. She did tell us about the plans and your right... why the beast and not fancy pants prince? And speaking of fancy pants, this next update may very well be the last update until next week as Turkey Pants is due to arrive tomorrow and the Fa-Tang three will be reunited (beware WDW). Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
The West Wing, and Some other stuff This update is going to be a mini one. Largely because I didn't get too many pictures in the West Wing. It's not exactly the easiest room to photograph, the atmosphere gets lost in flash photography, and there was a distraction in there. Random Picture that looks so much better till the flash went off- FAIL. Beasty has a bit of a temper problem- We were all trying to capture that moment when the prince in the slashed picture becomes the beast....FAIL the rose pic - FAIL Then suddenly we all notice something. They have wheeled in a cart with something in it. That's right, The Grey Stuff - (It's delicious)- The grey stuff it's self is good, the rose was ok. I think it was just basically fondant (the stuff they spread over wedding cakes to make them all smooth). That just tipped the BOG Castle visit into magical. Then we were done, time to leave. As she had some time to spare, waiting on the other group to finish there tour of Cindy's Guest Sweet, she took us into the villiage and Gaston's Tavern. Am I the only one that finds this stature disturbing? LaFoo is basically looking at Gaston's unmentionable areas... I was trying for a more artsy shot... FAIL. And now we are done with Castle #1. I am glad we started with BOG as I am sure not even the Grey Stuff could surpass Cindy's Guest Rooms.... Next Up - Up Close And Personal, A Glass Slipper, They Put WHAT in the floor? h2odivers...Ray 952
Oh I can't wait. Cindy's room is going to be so cool. I just know it. (Insert giggling little school girl here).
Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
Let's Get Real Up Close And Personal, A Glass Slipper, They Put WHAT in the floor?, Bedtime - We walked back through Fantasyland into the Castle Arches. We stopped about midway to meet our new guide. They asked the Designer who did the suite to do the walk through. She explained to us there would be some very magical stories to come. Then she led us through a door into what is a very small room and the reason that the group had to split in half. (Note- I have seen a tour of this suite on TV before. They started it in the room I am about to show you. So unless you were an uber Disney Fan, you'd probably have no idea how to get to the suite). As a matter of fact it was so small that, due to the number of people in the room, pictures were difficult to get. Let me also assure you that these photos will not do the area justice. Light Fixture- They wanted to make sure to incorporate items from the story into the suite - A custom tapestry for Cindy's Guests- The desk that greet people when they walk in- The grandmother clock- (I was standing so close it took three shots to get the clock) The other side of the door that takes you into the suite- Tapestry Light Fixture- Finally I get to take a picture of the room as it looks upon entry- Sadly, due to people having to stand in front of the elevator I was unable to get a picture of the doors, they were very very nice.....FAIL. We cram, and Dave can understand how tight this is, 12 people (our group of ten, the Guest Relations Concierge, and the Designer) into the Elevator. Trust me when I say, we would have all passed out from asphyxiation if anyone had O'Hannaed. Fred & George had nothing on how close were to each other. When you get to the actual suite, you wall into a slightly bigger room with with this- I've seen the shoe in person! So it's pretty but it's case is GORGEOUS. The floor has both yellow and white gold in the mosaic tile- Time to check out the light fixture- Picture or should I say small mural in the ceiling- Here is some original artwork, but the interesting story is the wall paper. She said that when they went into the sample room they found this wallpaper and just knew it was the one. So she called the company, and they said "Sorry, that's a sample. We don't make that". So she managed to find something else that was ok but not quite what she really wanted, so she ordered. When the paper was installed, they went up to check and it was the original sample. She said she never bothered to track down how it happend.... Magical Moment #1. I love all the wood work in the space... Guest Bed #1- Guest Bed #2- Up Next Week- Funny How the Shopping Went, Hidden Away, You can fit Six People in that thing-
