devores 382
This is going to be more of an information report than a trip report. I will post the menus with prices from each country represented and what we actually ate from there. The cranberry bog is back this year. We started by taking a right at World Showcase. This is a new booth this year. We tried the tart It was good. It had a gooey center and you could really taste the whiskey. We had the pork sliders here. They were better than last year. The spicy mayo was complimented by the sweet and sour. We got the seared trout. It was kind of bland and not very much bacon. I was hoping for more of a maple flavor. We got the fishermans pie and chilled irish coffee. The fishermans pie was as good as years past. It seemed like they added more lobster and shrimp to the recipe. The Irish coffee was good, but a had a bite to it. We also tried the mead. It was very harsh and not very flavorful. Had an earthly flavor with a bitter aftertaste. We got the waffle with chocolate. It was good and a nice change to the berry one. We got the Teriyaki Chicken hand roll. It was very good. BradyBzLyn...Mo
devores 382
We got the key lime wine. It was very good and tasted just like a key lime pie. We wanted to buy a bottle at the center, but they were all gone by the time we got there. The CM said they have been selling fast. We got the lobster roll and bread pudding. The lobster roll was so so. The bread was stale and chewy. The mayo was not very tasty. We ended up eating the lobster out of it and feeding the braed to some ducks. The bread pudding was very good. Tasted like French toast with cranberries on it. They gave you a healthy portion too. and FYI, they opened some new restrooms in the American pavilion. These are to the right of the pavilion where the garden used to be. We got the ravioli. I was not a fan. Its a cream sauce this year as opposed to the beef sauce they had last year. DW liked it but she has an Italian background. We got the apple strudel. It was good, but the same as every other year. BradyBzLyn...Mo

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great job! Your photos stopped right before you got to Korea. I'm wondering if you tried the kimchi dog? TCD
devores 382
We got the pot stickers. I liked the pork ones better, but the chicken were still pretty good. We got the garlic shrimp. It was good. Garlic was not too overpowering and added a nice flavor. We got the fritters and the orange dole whip with crème dele chocolate. The fritters are awesome. I highly recommend them. Deep fried pineapple. The dole whip was strong and Im not a fan of chocolate and orange mixed. BradyBzLyn...Mo

Your photos stopped right before you got to Korea. I'm wondering if you tried the kimchi dog? TCDI did not try it. After your rave review of it, I decided to skip it and save the belly space for something worthwhile. This trip report is nothing but a bunch of pictures of food. I love it! I figured you would like this one. Awesome pics and thanks for your reviews, Dave. 2 weeks from right now we will be about 3/4 of the way there!!! :jumpforjoyIn weeks you will be 3/4 of the way here? Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I don't think people realize what a task it is to get all of those sign photos without people standing in front of them. I tried to take photos when I was there, but gave up on most because as soon as one dummy moved away, another one would take his place. Ain't nobody got time for that. I did not venture into the Festival Center this year. I would like to see that carved chocolate in person. TCD

We went early enough the crazies were not out yet. Then we left when they showed up (its great living here). The Festival center is the same is years past except they moved the chase card holder lounge to the area next to where the wine is sold. We did not go in there because we forgot our card. Looks like you tried very similar things to us on our tour around. Actually... The Chase Card lounge is on the third floor of the America pavilion...

h2odivers...Ray 952
Looks like the food n wine festival is right up my alley. I'm not a big wine drinker but I do love my beer. I just assumed it was food n wine. Not food wine and beer. What are the three different sizes of beer? Also what is the "flight" mean. Is it a small sampling of the beverages mentioned? Judy in Texas 150
"The Chase Lounge at the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The America Pavilion, which is central to World Showcase, provides a great midway point for stopping and resting during a trip around the World. The lounge will be located on the third floor of the pavilion building. Guests can use the elevator located between the attraction and the gift shop. Just show your Chase Card, and you’re in! (Note: The Chase VIP Lounge is available to all Chase Cardmembers.)"I have a Chase credit card that earns me $$ I can put on a Disney rewards card I use primarily to pay for meals when I'm at WDW or Disneyland. Judy in Texas 150
In addition to the a/c... ""Guests can also recharge their cell phones while enjoying complimentary soft drinks. And new this year, you’ll also have the option of purchasing beer and wine. Catch a score on the television, or flip through a magazine while you relax a bit."

There's almost as much beer as wine these days - with most of it being beer on tap (YUM) 3 sizes for regular beers with the large one being 22oz and coming in a commemorative plastic mug. Beer flights are generally 3-4 decent sized cups - I think 6oz each? Why haven't I heard of this?I'll eventually dig out a pic of the other side of the space. They had two Coke Freestyle machines, coffee, lemonade and a bar. Everything was complimentary except the booze. It was a little crowded, but cool and a nice way to relax. The CM's in the lounge were great.
