Walt Disney World Resort – October 2013 Merchandise Events

What’s happening in the world of Disney Theme Park Merchandise at the Walt Disney World Resort this October? Check it out and see.

October 2 – 6: Make sure you stop by Art of Disney in the Downtown Disney Marketplace to meet Disney inspired artist Greg McCullough, who will appearing daily. If these dates don’t quite work out with your vacation timing, it’s okay. Look for additional appearances by Greg, October 16 – 20 at Art of Disney in Epcot and October 23 – 26 as well as October 30 – November 3 at Main Street Cinema in Magic Kingdom Park. October 3: Mark your calendars for a special pin signing with Disney Design Group Artist Susan Foy, 5 – 7 p.m. at Disney’s Pin Traders, as we celebrate the release of the latest pin from the Good Luck/Bad Luck series. Learn more.

October 3: Pick up a copy of Remembering Roy E. Disney which draws a poignant and funny picture of a man revered and idolized by legions of Disney fans and admired, cared about, and very well liked by all those that had the honor to know him. Author Dave Bossert and Special Guest Roy P. Disney will be on hand for an appearance and signing from 4-6 p.m. at Art of Disney in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Tip: It’s a great gift for any Disney fan, film buff or animation historian. Reminders: The Remembering Roy E. Disney book will be available for purchase at Art of Disney in the Downtown Disney® Marketplace upon store opening on the day of the event. A limited number of wristbands will be distributed to Guests who make a purchase at the store on the morning of the signing in order to meet Dave Bossert and Roy P. Disney. Once wristbands have been distributed, the line to meet Dave and Roy will close. Learn more.

October 7 – 23: Are you a fan of David E. Doss? Make sure to schedule time to stop by and say hello, as David will be joining us at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace, daily, as we debut some of the latest pieces in his collection. If you’ve booked your trip a little later in the month, then be sure to keep an eye out for David who will be appearing October 30 – November 5, again at Art of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. October 11 – 13: Artist Michelle St.Laurent will be showcasing a collection of “Food & Wine” inspired artwork from her Disney Fine Art collection at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from 3 – 10 p.m. at Art of Disney in Epcot. October 14 – 19: Larry Dotson will be appearing throughout the day at Main Street Cinema in Magic Kingdom Park. Not able to make it? Look for Larry to appear later in the month from Oct. 24 –29 at Art of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Learn more.

October 17 – November 4: There’s nothing more boo-tiful than these Halloween inspired dolls by Precious Moments doll maker Linda Rick. Representatives will be appearing daily at Once Upon A Toy in the Downtown Disney® Marketplace, as we celebrate the release of these new dolls, among other fan favorites. Look for a special appearance by Linda Rick, herself, October 17 – 20. Learn more.

October 22: Calling all Traders! Disney Trading Night will take place from 6 – 9 p.m. at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. So if you are looking to meet avid and novice traders, make friends, or share stories about your collections, then this is the place for you.

A Few Reminders: The specific location of Trading Night will be in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill Restaurant area, adjacent to the lobby. Space is extremely limited. Please limit the number of items that you choose to bring. Disney bus transportation will be running to and from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex until approximately 10p.m. Learn more.

October 25 – 27: Artist Tim Rogerson will be on hand to showcase some of his “Food & Wine” inspired artwork from his Disney Fine Art collection at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from 1 – 10 p.m. at Art of Disney in Epcot. October 25: The Urban Redux Series 2 is making its debut at D Street this month. Look for special appearances by Disney Design Group artists Maria Clapsis, Billy Davis, Caley Hicks and Thomas Scott from 5 – 7 p.m. Learn more here.
