Jennifer41 19
I've decided to "downgrade" my reservation from premium to full hookup so we'll have more room for our tent in the sand.I'm stuck between being close to the settlement & marina or being closer to the Meadow pool area.(Specifically, I'm looking at loops 200 & 1700 right now.) Which do you like & why? Pros & cons of either? TIA!! :thtray:
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
We like the Preferred loops - in our case specifically 300 as it's a pet loop. We aren't big on using the pool and we enjoy being close to the Settlement.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Since Z loves the campfire and the pool, we like to be close to that area.
Momof6....aka Marty 769
We loved being near the campfire and movie. I liked that I could have a few at the movie while I was at the campsite and they weren't too far away. Not suire about the pool - it wasn't open when we were there. However, we did get permission to swim at Wilderness Lodge instead!
DaveInTN 3,247
I like to be close to the dog park. We take our Foofy every day to run around and blow off some stink.
We4mickey 6
Pool area. 1700 is our favorite loop. Besides it gives you an excuse to go looping when you are further away from the settlement area.
Starbuc71 162
As far away from civilization as possible without getting flooded out on the 1900 loop
DramaMama .......... Janet 75
We love the 1500 loop best. Since we just need a partial hook-up that works for us. We love being able to cross the road and get to the playground, pool, and trading post.
Jennifer41 19
I think I'm becoming sold on 1700... The reasons I like the 200 loop are also the reasons I wouldn't like it if that makes sense? YAY!- close to the settlement! Boooo!... close to the settlement... h2odivers...Ray 952
Pool area. Gets my vote. Settlement is good but we spend more time at the pool, campfire, etc.

The reasons I like the 200 loop are also the reasons I wouldn't like it if that makes sense? YAY!- close to the settlement! Boooo!... close to the settlement... Yup - makes sense. :) One thing to keep in mind if you're switching up your reservations is that 100-300 are Preferred, 1600-1900 are Full. Preferred really just means location, but you pay a few extra $ a night for it.
Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
When we had dogs and a smaller RV we liked the 300. Since going premium and getting larger RV we like being close to campfire and pool (this is ironic considering how little the kids actually go to the pool because we are in the parks)
PureTcrazy...rita 380
It really doesn't matter much if you have a golf cart. I like the 1600 or the 1700. The sites are way bigger which also means more private than the preferred loops. The preferred are in a good location, but they are so tiny and close to each other. Jennifer41 19
We don't have a cart. I actually haven't even thought about a cart till just now.... I guess I'll spend some time tomorrow checking out cart rental options. :)

There is bus service and it works fine, but it's not as efficient or fast as a cart! Looping is part of the fun! There are non-Disney rentals that are much cheaper. Travisma 1,317
Do you have kids. Then the Meadow Pool area is the best. We just left there today 9/8 and had the grand kids. We were in 1500. 3 weeks ago we were in 1800. We spent most of the time in and around the pool. Both times we went to the Settlement area, but by far more time was spent at the Meadow. Jennifer41 19
You are way overthinking this whole trip. Oh.. you guys only see the half of it. I'm obsessed. AND- I have a lot of "spare" time on my hands (aka:I'll do anything to avoid laundry) so.... why not? I'm not hurtin' anyone! But that's part of the fun! :thumbsup2: And I'm genuinely curious about how you fiends feel about stuff like this IN GENERAL. If it helps me out at all with my measly 5 day stay, well all the better for me! I may never get back to Disney EVER. So if I plan the hell outta this trip, maybe it will seem longer.. AC in A2......Aaron 693
I actually liked the 2000 loop (partial) and the cabin loop we stayed in before........because I enjoyed the longer ride in the cart to the Meadows and Settlement areas....especially in the early morning.
