jenifour13 0
So this April will be the first time we spend Easter (or any holiday for that matter) in WDW and at Fort Wilderness. Does anything special go on that day? My kids will be 11 and 15 so no need for a picture with the Easter Bunny but just wondered if there is anything a little extra special. TIA! GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Check out my trip report from April (link in my signature). We were there, and I posted pictures. There's a lot going on! We love it. The parks are really crowded, but it's managable with a plan. BradyBzLyn...Mo
jenifour13 0
I look forward to reading the reports and looking at the pictures tonight when I get home. And I am looking so very forward to the crowds. But hey, I'll be in Disney so its all good. :)
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I think my top wait was 15 minutes. Rope drop, ride the headliners, get out around lunch to swim, and go back in the evening. You'll be fine! BradyBzLyn...Mo
michelb 3
We were there on Easter two years ago and I really didn't think it was that bad - nothing like XMas.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
A lot of times how crowded Easter is depends on if it falls close to the majority of school spring breaks. It they all hit around the same, it's the "perfect storm" for Disney crowds and capacity closures aren't unusual.
Lou... 3,118
Having been there during both Christmas and Easter weeks for a number of years, I'd rank them, the same.Even Kelly's good friend, the "living in parents garage" Josh, gives both weeks a 10. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
There was an Easter week a couple of years ago where MK closed to capacity for a while 3 or 4 times during the week.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I've been the last 2 years during Easter. Both times it was during our Spring Break which is always the first week of April. In 2014 it's much later, I'm guessing it won't be quite as bad. Awwwwwwwwwww. You've been reading his blog. Cute. BradyBzLyn...Mo
michelb 3
You're probably right that the timing of Easter makes a difference. This year it's at the end of March so that might be busy. We went to MK on Easter Day in 2011 (April 24th so pretty late for Spring Breaks) and I didn't find it all that busy. In comparaison, we were also at MK on XMas day in 2012 and just walking through the park was hard. When we left for lunch / break around 2PM, the park was at capacity and we wouldn't have been able to come back in right away (didn't bother us since we were planning on going to the camper and pool for a few hours anyway - we ended up only returning around 6PM I think and were able to re-enter then). BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Closures that week are usually at MK and usually between about 10/11am and about 2/3pm (ish)
