Disney Cruise Line is gearing up to celebrate the holidays with some extra-special entertainment this holiday season

 

New for 2013, "Halloween on the High Seas" will transform the Disney Dream into a ghoulish wonderland filled with frightfully fun events and activities. There will be special decorations, unique restaurant menu offerings and themed deck parties. This includes an elaborate Halloween Tree that transforms throughout the cruise.

 

"Mickey's Calling All The Monsters Mouse-Querade Deck Party," will give Guests a chance to dress up and dance with beloved Disney characters in their special Halloween costumes.

 

The "A Nightmare Before Christmas-Sing and Scream," will give Guests an interactive movie experience where they can be part of the action, followed by an opportunity to meet Jack Skellington and Sally.

 

"Haunted Stories of the Sea" will include a mysterious sea captain telling spooky stories.

 

"Creepy Cabaret" will feature performances by ghostly musicians.

 

In the adult nighttime district, a "Villainous Takeover" will take place on the dance floor.

 

Also included will be mask-making, pumpkin-carving and a Disney villain takeover of the ship announcements.

 

Winter holidays will be celebrated beginning Nov. 9 on the Fantasy and Wonder and Nov. 10
on the Dream and Magic
, and will include special events and activities through the New Year.

 

On the first night of cruising "King Triton's Tree Lighting Ceremony" will take place with a young Guest helping to light the three-deck-tall tree in the ship's atrium lobby.

 

During the "Deck the Deck Holiday Party," Guests can do the "Yuletide Slide" with Mickey and friends.

Santa Claus and his elves will be available to meet with Guests and take pictures.

 

Various Disney friends will be around spreading holiday cheer in their holiday best.

 

There will be holiday storytelling with new and old tales about Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, as well as a story just for Disney Cruise Line Guests.

 

The final night of the cruise will feature "Til We Meet Again," Disney Cruise Line's cheerful farewell, with a
special holiday edition including beloved Disney characters and the ship's crew.

 

Castaway Cay will also be getting a holiday makeover, complete with "snow flurries," a decked-out Christmas tree and holiday island music.
