DaveInTN 3,247
While everyone has always heard the story of the room being slid into the frame of the hotel like drawers, not as much is ever written about the construction of the garden wings. Those rooms were stacked 3 high, similar to the construction of the Poly. It makes me wonder what the demolition process was like when they were preparing to build the BLT. I wonder if it was more difficult to destroy those buildings? Was any consideration given to saving one of the intact rooms for a museum of construction? It sure would be interesting to see that. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
TCD you know have posted a pic of the factory If you are saying that you posted a photo of the factory where they made the rooms for the Contemporary and Polynesian, yes I know. Quite a few of the photos in that article have been posted on your Welcome to the 70's/80's thread, but there are many that I had never seen before. TCD
