Thought maybe we should also list sites that we like!

My favorite is 433. We stayed in this one at Christmas & it's awesome! A corner site with lots of room.

Carol!! I was just looking at 1700 loop in the app & on Shanta's google earth set up and I was looking at 1731 specifically.  Can you tell me why you like 1730 and what you think about 1731 (it's across from 1730, on the inside)?

I like 1730, cause it backs up to the comfort station. I've stayed in 1731 also and that one is good also, just right across the street :)  I have no bath in my camper and that is one of the requirements for my spouse.... steps from the comfort station. I can fit in ANY site at the Fort, (and If I can't back it in, I can push it in).

Partial site 1513 is great, also 1511, but don't tell anyone.  They both back up on a canal.  1513 has a slight hill behind it, so it's good with little ones, slows them down a bit before they get near the water.  Gives you a chance to catch up to them.

Right across from 1511 and 13 on the inside of the 1500 loop are a couple of very large sites.  You can spread out pretty well with those.

We had 703 on our last visit and loved it.  Otherwise we'd prefer to be on an outer side of 700.

 

BTW, 707 and 708 are the largest sites in the 700 loop.

In June we stayed in 1733...I think.it was right next to the comfort station and easy to back into.We liked it.

We were in the 1200 loop three times in a row...1209-1216 or so.  These are nice large sites, but back up to the street approaching the 4-way stop, so noise can be higher level.

Honestly, I think a better question would be a list of UNdesirable sites.  There are so many great sites at the fort, and we all have our favorites for various reasons.

 

Now if you want to know about those UNdesirables, I'll state all sites in the 1900 loop.  Too remote, too far to walk to the bus stop, too swampy, too many cypress tree droppings to cling to our mini schnauzer's hair ... nothing good to say about the entire loop.
