AC in A2......Aaron 693
Last Saturday the AC in A2 clan headed out in the old four-wheel drive sleigh en route to a local spot we have grown to love: The Howell Nature Center. Here is a link to their website: http://howellnaturecenter.org/ We have been a few times and enjoy it very much. It is located just a few minutes from our house so it's very convenient. The kids love to see the animals who are all rescues from the State of Michigan. The Nature Center has many cool things such as: *Kids educational zone *Lodge for children's overnight camp trips *Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic *Wild Wonders Animal Park *Nature Camp Play Area Here we are walking from the front back to the Wild Wonders Wildlife Park: We have arrived at our first animals; the Sandhill Cranes: Next up? If you are a dog lover, you are in luck. We are going to see them next. Coyotes to be precise. That is a decent start. I am having issues with Youtube for the moment, but the next update will kick off with a cool video. We will have many more State of Michigan animal pics coming also. Remember these animals are all rescues and would have been mince meat without the Howell Nature Center and other places like it. I think it's pretty cool. I hope you all enjoy following along! I will post the next update as soon as the video gets uploaded.

photogal06...Sommer 10
Aw, fun! We haven't been back to the nature center in ages, but it looks just the same. They do good work. We took two super tiny baby bunnies there once when our dogs "borrowed" them from their nest. We searched but couldn't find the nest anywhere, and the dogs had never left our fenced yard, so the nest had to have been somewhere in on our property. I also call them whenever I see an animal doing something odd...we had a very young raccoon wandering around our front yard (we're in the city) in the middle of the day in early spring, and they were great with info. AC in A2......Aaron 693
How can it be Michigan Animals if you have a Californian in the mix? I think they accept animals from other places as long as they are also native to Michigan. I'm here ! Give the kids a big hug ! Will do sir! Glad youre here.Looks like a training league zoo. Trying to work their way up to the big show. Not saying that's a bad thing. Just saying... You could say that. We have been to plenty of zoos also. I mean its no Bronx or San Diego Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, or Animal Kingdom, but it rescues animals and its in our backyard.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
Sorry for the delay. Here is what the coyotes started doing as we walked away. I think they were ready for some lunch. I have it from an unnamed, anonymous, mystery source that this is what DIT sounds like when he is waiting for pood forn pictures: http://youtu.be/tSafPqaGCWU Next was a couple rough looking deer: Can I tend the rabbits George? Enjoying the walk in the woods: The turkeys were gobbling big time but my stupid iphone was full after the coyote video so no video. My bad. More animals and the pood forn still to come. Judy in Texas 150
It's cool you were able to see the turkeys with their tails spread. We have wild turkeys in north Texas; but, I rarely see them with their tails like that.

They remind me a lot of german shepherds in how they carry themselves and how they run.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Very cool place. Loving the TR so far. I'm in! Love the Frasier and Nilles Cranes! Awesome! The coyote yapping freaks me out a bit. Only because we camped in our hybrid a few times in upstate NY and heard that sound in the middle of the night... a bit too close for comfort. AC in A2......Aaron 693
More animal pics coming in this update. I am going to try to finish this short TR during this sitting. Next up is one of the coolest animals in my opinion: Next up: Porky Now we continue our walk through the woods: Woody was hiding so we moved on to another Bobcat enclosure: There wasn't a sign like that on the last Bobcat cage so I guess that Bobcat doesn't bite? Hmmm.. Moving on: Continued in next post.........
AC in A2......Aaron 693
The Harlan Hawk is the only species at the Howell Nature Center that is not a Michigan native: Next we head to the barn for another of God's awesome creatures......
AC in A2......Aaron 693
Let's head into the barn: Next we head to my favorite animal in the joint: Next we will work our way over to the Raptor Center: We will continue in the next post with another Baldie....
