articfox676 11
Anyone who can report on the storm? Hope everyone is safe.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
What storm are you talking about? Tropical Storm Andrea? It's in the Gulf, over 100 miles from WDW. I am much closer to it here on the west coast of Florida. So far, it's just been a lot of rain, and not much wind. There was a report of a tornado just to the north of me in Tarpon Springs, but I haven't heard anything more about that. TCD
Lou... 3,118
It rained a lot during the night. It's also been blustery and central Florida is under a tornado watch.Windy with light rain right now, but it's not that bad, same old, same old.
alexwyattmommy 181
I have my weather already set to Orlando and I've had a few warnings already show up on my phone.
Total Joker ... TJ 203
Rain, rain, and more rain.. love this florida weather!
devores 382
Tornado warnings right now and LOTS of rain. No wind or scary weather. just wet. Its supposed to get bad later today and then clear up by the weekend.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Just so we are all clear, the Fort was never in the path of this storm: All central Florida got was some rain from the outer bands of the storm. TCD
devores 382
Yep. Not in the path of the storm, but on the wet side of it. So lots of rain and thunderstorms spawned from it, but no direct hit.
devores 382
Water parks and mini golf courses closed, Disney Quest at Phase 4 as of 1230, Mickey's BBQ cancelled for tonight, no marina boat rentals. Sea World and Busch Gardens are closing early today as well. No plans for Disney to adjust hours. BradyBzLyn...Mo
Robert6401 7
I am hopeful that the worst of it will be past my area (Midland of SC) by tomorrow afternoon so we can start our journey South without issue.
dvcmembers94 1
We're here in the 1200 loop. It rained about 22 hours straight but looks like it's trying to clear up now. No winds to speak of. A few RVs have come in in the last few hours.

Sea World and Busch Gardens are closing early today as well. No plans for Disney to adjust hours. My best childhood memory of WDW is 1979 in the torrential rain. My parents threw ponchos on us and after having battled insane crowds earlier in our trip (like 2+ hour wait for Space Mtn) it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Honestly, I was hoping for some rain during the 24 hours at MK. Have poncho, will travel. :)
