devores 382 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Share Posted May 29, 2013 It was far from an EXPLOSION. It was a dry ice bomb. It was dry ice placed in a soda bottle with a little water and sealed shut. The pressure builds up in the bottle and pops when it can't handle any more. There is no fire or explosion involved, just a loud bang. When I worked in a cryogenics plant making liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen we would make these all of the time and some would pop in our hands.
