Judy in Texas 150
Love your trip report! I'm a big fan of pickled cauliflower too. That McDonald's was just strange. Glad you were spared from tornado damage! Thanks. Here's the link to the Jake and Amos website. https://www.jakeandamos.com/ I'd like to try some of their other items. It will have to wait till I find them in a store. Not willing to pay shipping. Great report!I have been following along, but have not had much time to comment. DH's sister and her family live just outside Bentoville area.We always go through St. Louis on our way to Nebraska. Lately we haven't been stopping, but this year I think we might have to time it so we do. I would love to take the riverboat cruise. Thanks, Here is the link to the website about The Arch and surrounding area. http://www.gatewayarch.com/ You can make reservations ahead of time if you know about when you will be there. Our trip wasn't full; however, the one before us was PACKED with school kids on their end of year field trips. I'm glad we weren't on that one.

I think this is the same product I buy at our regional farmer's market. If so, it IS good!
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I looked up the Lewis and Clark statue on several websites. Here is a picture of what I think it is meant to look like when the water cooperates. http://www.lewisandclarktravel.com/index.php/site/lewis_clark_statue_underwater_near_st_louis_arch/ The statue is tucked behind the support for the railroad bridge so it should be safe from all the boat traffic and logs that flow downstream. There's more history of the statue at this website. http://franceshunter.wordpress.com/2011/09/28/lewis-clark-in-sculpture-part-1/ Thanks for the information on the statue. I read a great book about the Lewis and Clark Expedition a few years back. If anyone would like to read more about it, check out the book Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose. it was a great and very informative read. TCD
