Lucky baby!

A summation of the process -   In all honesty, I had a great time with this project but it just takes a bit of time.  Tracing and sewing the mickey head took me about 30 minutes for all three shirts.

well now I am glad i didn't try it with rubber bands instead of floss.. so you pay $20 to have to finish it in your RV for the hard part...       You know I am somewhat a modern day hippie.  I live in

What neat shirts!  Love the one with all the small Mickey heads everywhere on the front!  Makes me want to give this a try one more time!  Made two shirts a few years back and the color didn't come out near as bright as yours!  Great job!!!

the secret is over saturation.  for "normal" tie dye the instructions say to use sparingly.  I was careful on the mickey heads but you can mostly tell when it is covered but for the rest of the shirt I used 1/2 of a bottle of dye per color on each shirt.  Obviously if you did more than two colors you would adjust the dye accordingly (say about 1/3 a bottle per shirt) on the adult size.  In the first set this is why my shirt is blue and green while they have yellows and reds.  I ran out of the yellow and reds.  My shirts literally drip when i pick them up to wrap them

As luck would have it, Nicki was kind enough to whip up some instructions on her spiffy shirts, complete with photos, and I'll be posting them up on an Info page soon.  Stay tuned!  :)

MO... add a tip about buying enough of the same colors if they are going for matching.  For instance two kits with the same colors instead of one kit with unusable colors.
