Starting June 22nd, service hours for the monorail will be changed to accommodate a new "state-of-the-art" control system. This schedule will run through the summer. Watercraft and additional buses will be available during this time. New service hours are: Magic Kingdom Resort beam 8:30am - midnight Magic Kingdom Park Express beam 9:30am - 11:30pm Epcot beam 9am - 11pm Guest with breakfast reservations at MK or any of the MK resorts on the monorail, should use bus or water transportation before 8:30am.

Got this info earlier today but the stupid day job got in the way... Early this afternoon the Monorail Express beam to the Magic Kingdom and the Resort beam stopped operating due to technical difficulties. The Epcot beam was operating as normal. Guests were directed to alternative transportation at the local bus load zones and watercraft docks, with additional buses added to meet Guest demand. By mid-afternoon all monorails were back up and running.

Apologies if this has been posted and I missed it, but for those in the dark like me, there is a new(ish) sign at the entrance to the monorails giving expected wait times... Of course I'm sure Lou would say that a much more useful sign would be one predicting the likelihood that the monorail you're on will break down.

This seems to be related to the construction at the GF, but straight from the Mouse's mouth... "To accommodate planned maintenance and nearby construction, we will be temporarily adjusting the operating schedule for the monorail system. Beginning March 2, monorail service on the Magic Kingdom Resort and Express beams will be temporarily suspended during non-peak times, between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. During this time, watercraft (where applicable) *and additional buses* will be available to transport Guests to their destinations.
