  1. This is really sad: http://wate.com/2016/12/03/gatlinburg-church-to-hold-news-conference-on-reed-family/
  2. That's gotta be it! Thanks for solving that one.
  3. Thanks. Constance Reed is the name of the mother. What a sad story. I can't imagine what the husband is going through. he must really be second guessing himself.
  4. Just did the online check in yesterday for an upcoming trip in a couple of weeks. The web site is still as you described. I want to find those elevators!
  5. Any update on the guy who couldn't find his wife and two daughters? I can't find any news newer than about 18 hours ago when he was still looking.
  6. Yes. We've had it happen after midnight at the Grand Floridian, the night before our daughter's wedding. A family came back to their room next to ours late, had their kids running down the hall, and then got them in the room and they were yelling and laughing very loudly. After about 45 minutes, I finally called the front desk, and they must have called them. Really had me missing the camper. MUCH noisier.
  7. I'm wondering if they are trying to level out the "after Christmas" slow down. Also, I have no idea why this double quoted.
  8. Very few Disney Springs commercials in the Orlando area. Disney Springs has been packed, so I don't think they need more attendance other than morning. By mid afternoon, at least the Lime garage has been filled, with the orange garage following shortly after. Friday, my daughter and son in law had to park at Team Disney because all other lots were full.
  9. I think that is the length. I am hoping (and assuming) they'll show it more than once a night. I guess they keep it short so people keep shopping.

  11. There is a video of the full show on the Disney Updates Facebook page. It lasted about 3.5 minutes, but looked good.
  12. Don't forget Parksdale for Strawberry Shortcake! Actually, it IS really good.
  13. the other possibility is the wheel bearing is worn or loose. If the trailer is jacked up, see if there is any play when trying to wiggle the tire. I repacked my bearings a couple of years ago prior to towing from Central Florida to Tennessee (Townsend). When I got there, I noticed excessive wear on one tire in the same area as Nicole's picture. I jacked up the camper and sure enough, there was excessive play. I just had to tighten the bearing nut one more notch for the retainer. All was fine after that. That may not be the problem here, but would be worth checking.
  14. A quick note if anybody is having difficulty making Trails End reservations using the MDE app (and possibly the web site). Friends of mine were telling me how Trails End is booked for breakfast on weekends and they can't get reservations. I thought that didn't make sense, and opened the app and checked for breakfast reservations on a Saturday in early December. Sure enough, Trails End did not show up as available at the Fort. Then, rather then selecting breakfast, I selected the time (which is what I normally do) and Trails End showed as wide open. So, since the weekends are still brunch, se
  15. Wow! You were very fortunate. Did the other tires wear like that? I only got about 7,000 miles out of my cheap tires before one got a long split in it that run under the tread. I had enough of them and replaced them all.
  16. I replaced the no name ST tires on my camper with the Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires. They've been excellent so far and are a MUCH better tire than the previous no names (Vail). The newer Carlisle tires are now the Radial Trail HD and have gotten great reviews. Maxxis would be a good choice as well.
  17. We're in Clermont and we often do the same thing (walking around wishing we were on vacation). We've had 7 stays this year with one more planned; but that's more than normal since my wife retired from Disney a year ago and we've taken a year to enjoy it. I'm still working and need to save some vacation prior to retiring in 5 years. Plus, we want to resume our normal one big trip a year supplemented by the Fort and state parks.

    INLAWS!!!

You can cancel 5 days out and get a full refund.
  19. Wow. These pictures are great. We've been planning on returning to the area. the last time we stayed at the Old Faithful Inn. We are intending on taking the camper into the Grand Tetons and concentrating more on hiking there; but your pictures have me wanting to get back into Yellowstone more. Thanks for posting these.
  20. Any word if the breakfast buffet would be extended into early afternoon?
  21. One thing that may be hurting reselling anything is the lousy route this year. In the past, the Wine and Dine route went through Animal Kingdom, Studios and a significant portion of Epcot. This year, they take you through Animal Kingdom, out the back, down Bear Island Road past the sewer treatment, recycling and compost areas, then out by the Car Care center and up World Drive. The route then enters Epcot for a very small amount and then ends in the Epcot parking lot. A lot of people aren't happy with the route, which I assume was changed due to construction in Studios. My daughter and he
  22. Now if the castle guards came, arrested them and hauled them off to the dungeon, I may be happy. :)
