  1. I was hoping this was going to happen. Walking around the Settlement and down to the marina was getting too hectic and outright dangerous. When we were there this past Christmas and new Years, the golf cart situation in that area was getting out of control. We saw kids around the playground run towards Trails End, and almost get hit by golf carts in the process. Too much foot traffic in that area. Hopefully this will provide some structure to where the carts can go and also make for a more peaceful area.
  2. Here I thought this was going to be a post about Claude Giroux.
  3. That is already the name for an independent media company: http://www.cinemagine.com/
  4. Can't take business away from Starbucks. Starring Rolls is already gone.
  5. That's a shame. My wife worked the candy counter there for several years.
  6. Just went to look and was able to book December 16 - 21 in a preferred. All levels of loops were open. As others have stated, when I added a weekend day, no availability.
  7. She's up at Rollins isn't she? If she really wants to get to WDW, she can take Fairbanks east (it turns into Aloma) and then just get on the 417 south. I'll do that sometimes if I'm in that area. Only other option would be to take I-4 east a short distance to Maitland Blvd and then take Maitland to 414 to 429. I'll get to the Rollins area using that route sometimes but I usually return via 417.
  8. Agree 100% with the additional thought there are a few differences in quantity and selection. We always go to Port Orleans French Quarter. They have a two biscuit sausage and gravy breakfast for $3.99 that is really good. Pop Century has a one biscuit sausage and gravy breakfast also for $3.99 and the sausage gravy is different, but still good. Much better breakfast at Port Orleans for a similar meal.
  9. the Biergarten is excellent. As Dave said, you are assigned the table. It is a "community table" in the sense that you may not know some people at the table if you are smaller than a party of 8. Always enjoy meeting the people though. The entertainment is also a lot of fun.
  10. I would second this. We did the fixed menu for $89 at Christmas and had the Venison. Had the lobster salad for appetizer and the chocolate sphere for dessert. One of the most enjoyable meals I've had at Disney.
  11. My daughter said being able to feel getting shot was quite startling, even though it didn't hurt. Just the realization you were hit. I work with simulators, and the ability to accurately align everything in an augmented reality environment is quite an achievement given the varying sizes/heights of people that change the eyepoints of the displays. Very impressive.
  12. When we were there through Christmas and new years we walked around the 1900 loop. That is a really nice loop as is the 1800. I never really appreciated how nice they are until this trip. The only drawback would be the distance from the Settlement.
  13. I agree. I have to wonder if they will be adding to this and changing the story line, resulting in what is a longer run. My daughter and son in law really thought it was amazing. I can't help but wonder if they are testing/fine tuning some concepts slated for Studios.
  14. Some of this sounds like what is already being used at the Void in Disney Springs. My daughter and son in law went there and really enjoyed it. I think it is there until some time in February.
  15. No debate; definitely Mr. French. Uncle Bill couldn't hold a candle to him.
  16. I've never been to Watchman. You'll have to post some pictures and opinions. The pictures look amazing. Besides the wildlife in Trailer Village, the fact you are an easy walk from the shuttle bus to take you to the canyon rim is a big plus. In addition, the nearby store is good.
  17. Here are a few pictures from the Grand Canyon's Trailer Village where you will be staying:
  18. Really good points. I would second the recommendation for Mesa Verde if you can make it there.
  19. I read an article that stated they were adding blue tooth to the Magic Bands so the door would unlock when you walked up to the door rather than having to hold the magic band against the door. The article posted here makes more sense given what the power requirements would be for a blue tooth Magic band.
  20. Are you by any chance running for President? You'd have my vote!
