  1. Live it, great start Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 2004 was a great year, looks like the girls had fun on the "vomit cups" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I used a service through dot photo.com because we started with that service in 2002 and have been paying a monthly fee since then (lots of photos archived there). Just did a book for my parents that is 74 pages, paid $29 or so for design service and total cost is around $100. Might be cheaper out there. But time is at a premium these days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Great thread Dave! I may be late to the party, but sign me up! Add me to the list of people who think INC has not aged a bit. My DW also hasn't changed and I tell everyone it's because she married the right guy and her life has been full of roses and easy living. Not sure why everyone laughs so hard when I say that? I like that scanner - I just got through spending hours scanning some old photos from my youth for a presentation at my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and was wishing I had a way to scan negatives and old slides. You have given me inspiration and will put that on my Chri
  5. Lovin this trip report - page 8 bragging rights! Wishing I could be there!
  6. Great report. I was just looking at some photos from 2006 that I took, when my kids were about that age. Great time to be camping.
  7. Looking forward to more great adventures!
  8. Great TR and love the 3000 loop map. I'll have to try and get the trailer down there again, but it will be a while yet. Love taking the I -81 route to avoid most of the metro Rte 95 deal. Looking forward to more!
  9. Great report Dave, glad the kids had some shining moments of kindness toward each other. Go figure, siblings not getting along? But it is nice to see them support each other when bad things happen like the injury or when other kids don't behave. And thanks for the pood forn photos, and the sausage breakfast reminded me of our Labor Day camping trip with the scouts. We head out with a few of the kids the night before this trip to get groceries locally. You can imagine what it takes to feed 20+ hungry people, so there is a lot of "stuff" that has to be tossed in the carriages - enough to
  10. And so it begins...., one weekend at a time. Sounds innocent enough. Soon, it's sneaking away early on Friday's and before you know it, Wild Womenz Weekends and drinks with the girls at midnight! Glad you enjoyed it.
  11. I'm in too, page two bragging rights! Nice campground, and thanks for the pood forn.
  12. Just getting caught up after the holiday weekend, and this is a great trip report. I live in Massachusetts and we have thought about this cruise a few times (no parking needed for us, just a short drive away). How was the food? The beer selection looks good! But the photos are making me much more interested in the various ports. Oh, and the photo of the Flower Bridge in Shelburne - you should check out the YouTube videos of the devastating flooding along that river from Hurricane Irene. You would be frightened - very scary!
  13. Great trip, looking forward to your first backpacking trip into the wilderness!
  14. Off to try loading some more videos to YouTube, but think I need to edit them a little first. I have one from the Hypnotist show that has good sections in it, but some slow parts to be trimmed. Anyone ever see a hypnotist show? I used to be a doubter (not a hater) and then I saw some really cool things on my first hypnosis show for a school benefit. Firm believer now!
  15. And the boss of the house on her first long zip line run: http://youtu.be/9GDkFAYxgqA Nancy and I both commented about how nervous we were at first, but the redundancy in the safety gear is pretty good, and I increased my odds of survival by telling Nancy that I cancelled the insurance policies before we left (just can't push my luck too far!) I would highly recommend this course to anyone who might be thinking of it. It was fun and the course was scenic. I have driven by some that are just a big mess of wooden platforms and poles near other roadside attractions, not in the woods or ov
  16. Here is another video - this one of Rachel trying the zip line over the brook, starting at about 50 feet in the air. The interesting part is listening to Nancy being the "mom" and telling Rachel how to do this correctly, and we all know that Rachel is just saying (to herself of course) "Be quiet mom, I've got this!" You can also hear the voice of the last person on the zip line shout "Clear" to announce that he has safely reached the other side and transferred from the zip line to the tree platform. http://youtu.be/2Ph2mcZdPHY
  17. Well, I may be a slow learner, but I think I may have this now - thanks for the tip to try YouTube. And I'm glad for a broadband internet connection! First video I will try is Abby on the Adirondack Extreme course, crossing from one tree to another using the rope loop bridge. About 40 to 50 feet off the ground I am guessing: http://youtu.be/0wDwHdpItC0
  18. Hoping to get an update in later today, been traveling for work and not able to get back to this like I wanted. Also really want to figure out how to load those video links - off to explore the self help pages!
  19. AAAGGG - Double post. I better walk away now before I break something ;-) I'll try again tomorrow night. So long from Syracuse NY. Off to Bath NY and Batavia tomorrow for work. Maybe Allegany while in the neighborhood.
  20. So, if I recall correctly (and the grey matter is not as accurate as it used to be!), we did the hike and swim on Monday, with Tuesday being a day to relax, spend some time in the outlet stores, and just hang out at the camper. I didn't get any photos from the outlet store area, but Matt and I got him some new hiking shoes for the Labor Day scout hike in the White Mountains. At the beginning of the spring we bought Matt hiking shoes that fit great and were a size 9. He outgrew them by mid-July after wearing them once, and now takes a size 11 shoe. I can't believe how quick he is growing rig
  21. It is a great place to be. I would recommend at least a week. We were only there for 5 nights and I could have used more time to explore the area. Will have to get back again. Only spent about an hour or two in the shops down near the southern tip of Lake George. Not enough time. I agree, fall is the best time. Have you and the kids ever made it up to this area with the trailer? I hear that the Watkins Glen area is also a great place to explore. Nice wineries and good day hikes.
  22. So, that first night we kicked back and did all the things one would do on a first night, the kids did some "looping" and checked out the campground on their bikes. The internal roads are wide, well paved, and plenty of bike trails all over where they don't allow any vehicles. Lots of people going for runs and walks in this campground. And a nice sized fishing pond toward the south side of the park. I would say it almost rivals the Fort in the quality of the place. The kids were back at the site fairly early as they don't allow bikes out after 9:00pm without lights on the bikes - and the
  23. The frequent change in the weather is one of the things I really enjoy in the northeast. It's not great all the time, but there is something refreshing about a cold front that comes along and clears out the humid air! Thanks for joining, and you'll see some warmer weather photos soon! We happened to be there the week before the Perseid meteor showers and didn't get to see too much, but the kids were in Maine on the beach the following week and got to go out at 1:00am and lie down on the sand to watch the show. Those are memories that will last a while. I can still remember the star
  24. Did you ever have a group of friends that you've known for years, but never really got a chance to hang out together for a while? Our son Matt has known this other kid from town since they were in pre-school together. Great family, and the kids get along great. Yet, for some reason, we never managed to find the time to get the families together for a camping trip. Talked about it over the years, but it never connected. Well, last winter we got serious and sat down to make some reservations together. They had been telling us for years about Lake George RV Park, a place that you can spend
