  1. I also think it's a good place for families/groups since there is a good selection on the buffet and the entertainment is fun. I wish I knew how to do a proper polka. Is Big Joe's Polka Show still on RFD-TV? That show never fails to make me smile.
  2. My guess is that Dream Works might team up with Hillwood Properties on the north end of Fort Worth: AllianceTexas, developed by Hillwood - a (Ross) Perot Company, is an 18,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community located in north Fort Worth. AllianceTexas offers a variety of commercial real estate options, including new industrial, office and retail space. Anchored by the multi-modal inland port known as the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, AllianceTexas is home to more than 370 companies, over 37,000 employees and integrated home options for any budget and lifestyle. - See more at: http
  3. Yes it would! Part time employment for my retirement. PS: I thought this sounded a bit familiar. This is from CBS 11 TV 5/31/13. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2013/05/31/dreamvision-to-bring-family-friendly-entertainment-theme-park-to-fort-worth/ FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - A Florida entertainment company is moving its headquarters to Fort Worth. DreamVision is planning to build an 80,000 square foot studio and office. Company leaders also say they will build a theme park in North Texas. At this point an exact location has yet to be finalized. “We see this as the future family entertainment capita
  4. Noogies... I haven't hear that term since my daughter was little.
  5. I love the Mac and Cheese. I order a side of it with a salad and it makes a nice meal.
  6. When I was at Mickey's BBQ the band and singers were on the stage. The characters were on the floor to both sides of the stage (so they didn't block the view of the stage) when they danced with the kids.
  7. Oh yum!!! I like that restaurant. Thanks for posting the pics.
  8. How about Mickey's Backyard BBQ instead? It's more child friendly. You would be able to get up and move around with the young one without being in the way of the performers and servers. Your 6 year old would love it, too, because there is ample opportunity to dance with the characters.
  9. That happened to me. I was at WDW several years ago in October and wanted to park at Boardwalk so I could watch that night's World Series game at ESPN. I wasn't allowed in the parking lot.
  10. I found a few books at Barnes and Noble under "Camp and Camping - Children's Fiction". Here are a few: Amelia Bedelia Goes Camping Just me and My Dad Flat Stanley Goes Camping http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/?category_id=398781
  11. Maybe a few pecans. Canned pie filling would probably work, too.
  12. I found this recipe for Pineapple Upside Down Cake (sort of) cooked on the grill in foil packets. It looks good and easy. SaraLee has pound cake in the freezer section that has individually wrapped slices. It would be very handy for camping. http://www.echoesoflaughter.ca/2012/06/camping-bbq-recipes-week-pineapple.html
  13. I just checked with my sister-in-law about the kids clubs. She said there are two age groups for the cruises they have been on - up to 12 and over 12. She said the younger boy spent every minute he could in the club. This year the older girl (who is on the shy side) didn't spend much time there because she was happier spending her days with her grandparents.
  14. DIT: I don't meet your criteria; but, my brother and sister-in-law along with their daughter and her family take the Holland America Alaska cruises every two to three years. The kids are now about 12 and 14. They add ground excursions to Fairbanks and Denali onto one end or the other depending on where they start. This year they flew to Fairbanks, stopped in Denali for several days, and ended up in Seward where they joined the cruise. One of the reasons they like Holland America is because the ships are smaller and can make it into areas where the larger ones can't. Their high reccomme
  15. Thanks. That's good to know. I hope so, too!Carol: Did you replace the screws because you wanted to or had to? Were the originals cheap, too?
  16. I ended up buying an ez up type one today at our new Gander Mountain. It was on sale and came in a carrying case with screens and three solid sides (I can't think what they are called right now ). I'll put it up in the backyard tomorrow.
  17. He bought a blowup movie screen and is showing old movies this weekend!
  18. Elvis and Hawaii... Where is this going to take us?
  19. What a great trip report! Thanks for posting it. :)
