When we first started going to the Fort, it was the hottest deal on property. Not so much any more. We used to go every year, now it is becoming more of an occassional vacation destination. More like an every few years treat. This year, Pigeon Forge.

My beagle was my toughest. Hounds are kind of stubborn, but he came around. Now he'd rather explode than have an accident in the house.

We had a Yorkie for 14 years. She was a great dog. Sorry, but I gotta tell you she was the easiest dog I ever housetrained. She had it down in 2 weeks. She was a real mother hen to the kids - always keeping an eye on them, checked on them every night before she would go to bed. The last night she was alive (terminal cancer), she checked on them - took her 1/2 hour for a task that normally took her 2 minutes. She came into the living room and collapsed on the floor. That dog really loved those kids.

That's one of the good things about camping at the Fort - lots of room in the trailer to bring stuff home.

For years I was told the Russians and the Chinese were our enemies, and the middle eastern countries were our friends. Then over night, it seems, the Russians and the Chinese became our friends and we haven't quite figured out where the middle east stands - depends on the country du jour and what our government wants us to believe. Usually I am happy with whatever we can pick up with the amplified antenna. Once when we were camping in the Poconos we got no reception and the cable didn't work. That was a pain, but not a war stopper.
